Hai! This is the second chapter of Where the Stars are! Trying to keep this short, but when I have something to say, I'll just put: (A/N...) Thanks! ~C
Lucy's P.O.V
When I make it to Fairy Tail, I push the doors open slightly and quickly dodge the flying chair coming towards me.
"Hey minna!" I say with a smile. Of course, the only people who reply are who haven't been ignoring me, which they are Wendy, Gajeel, Happy, Carla, Lily, and master.
I walk over to where I usually sit, and I plop down on the barstool.
"Mira?"
No answer.
"Mira"
Still, no answer.
"Mir-"
"What?!" Mira says to me in a slightly annoyed voice.
"C-can I have a-a strawberry milkshake please?" I say while looking down. I look up to see Mira roll her eyes at me. I here a faint, "sure, whatever." I frown at this, but replace it quickly when she sets the glass in front of me.
"T-thank you, Mira." Once again, ignored.
I start to drink my shake, and melting into day dreaming when I feel a presence behind me. I turn around to see my team. 'Finally, their talking to me.' I think with a smile. "Hey Natsu, Gray, and Erza!"
"Luce, we need to talk." Natsu says to me while looking away.
"What is it Natsu? Is there something wrong?" I ask worriedly. He turns to me and scratches the back of his neck.
What's going on?
When he opens his mouth to say something, Erza cuts him off. "Listen, Lucy, we think you should leave the team for awhile." My smile turns to a frown.
"O-oh, okay." I say with a shaky voice.
"Since you always complain for rent money, this can also be a benefit of going solo, along with getting stronger." Gray says. Then Natsu says something that I would never even think of him saying.
"And since your the weakest on Team Natsu, I think it's a good idea to train"
I'm weak?
"Oh, it's perfectly fine." I say while looking up to them with a shaky smile.
"Thanks Luce! Your the best!" Natsu says and he gives me a hug. The second they turn around to leave, I take the back exit and run home. When I get there, I break down completely.
All the thoughts are swirling in my head, from 'Why?' To the most craziest things. I start to pack my things, making sure I leave by tomorrow. When I've gotten too tired to pack, I lay in bed and cry myself to sleep.
The next morning.
I wake up, and do my normal morning routine, and head out for the guild. When I get there, I slip past everyone and walk up the stairs, right to the masters office.
I knock a few times, waiting for permission to come in.
"You may come in."
Here I go.
I walk in the masters office with my bangs over my eyes. I look up to see masters worried eyes. "What's wrong my child?"
"Master, I wish to quit the guild." I say, with tears in the corners of my eyes. Masters eyes are wide, and he starts forming tears in his eyes as well.
"Why? Don't you love it here?"
"Of course I do! It's just that, lately, I've been ignored by pretty much everyone in the guild, plus the fact that I was kicked off Team Natsu yesterday." This time, tears are streaming down my cheeks. He looks at me, and nods slightly.
"As you wish, but may I ask, will you return?" I thought for a second to come up with my answer.
"Yes. But don't expect me back anytime soon." I place my hand on his desk, while he takes my Insignia sign away. When he's finished I give him a quick hug and head toward the door, but before I leave I say to him, "And, master, please don't tell them I left. Say I went on a long mission or something." And with that, I walk out of his office, down the stairs, and I push open the doors, stepping out of Fairy Tail.
Till then, it's good-bye.
I hope you've enjoyed this chapter, and the next will be coming out soon, and if you don't want any spoilers, then don't read below this note! ~C
Next chapter:
I hear a rustling sound behind me. I quickly whip my head around to see something I thought didn't exist.
A dragon.
But I could tell that this dragon was different then the others.
