Chapter 2
When we were going back to jace's room we heard a big thump. When we turned the corner Isabel was there in a pile of her clothing. "Isabel what are you doing?" Jace asked with an amused smirk. "I'm trying to do laundry! So if you don't mind" she picked up all her clothes and runs into her room and slams the door.
We finally reach jace's room. It's neat and clean as always. I walk across the room and flop down on his bed. Jace walks over to his hamper and dumps his shirt into it. I couldn't help but stare, his back was covered with runes and old scars. The light traces of scars visible from far away. A loud cough brought be back from my day dreaming.
"See something you like?" Jace asked raising his eyebrow. His delicious smirk making his cheekbones lift higher. His golden eyes darkening holding a sudden glint I knew only to be one thing.
Lust
"Ring, Ring" my cellphone beeped out loud. Without looking at the ID I knew who it was.
"Mom I'm staying here for the night, is that okay?" I heard her sigh through the phone, getting ready for no like always. I could never have a sleepover with jace, no matter the situation. That was the one rule my mom wanted me to follow. She was afraid of me getting knocked up young like she did, but to tell you the truth I wasn't ready for that step just yet.
No matter how bad I wanted Jace, he would have to wait. Shivers went down my back as I recalled the memory in Paris at the nightclub.
My mom sighed again bring me back to reality. "Fine you can stay but just this time", her words coming out fast. I can't believe she just said those words! My mouth dropped open as I processed what she just told me. Squealing with delight I quickly thanked her, "thanks mom, I love you goodnight" clary told her trying not to sound too happy for her moms benefit.
Clary quickly hung up with phone and turned around to see jace waking out of the bathroom with damp hair. "I'm guessing she said yes? Rolling my eyes I nod my head fast making me a little dizzy. Jace smirked knowing he was right, wait for the I told you so.
