(I'm bored it's almost midnight don't mind meee)

•Janus's P.O.V.•

I was sitting in a bathroom stall, leaning my head against the wall and blasting music to keep me awake. Checking my phone, it was five to midnight, Saturday night. This was probably the best time to get up and go searching the building, and waking up my friends. I heard Katie snoring in the stall beside mine, so I slid underneath and kicked her gently.

"Get up, it's midnight." I said, watching her sit up.

"Dang, already? I was enjoying that nap."

"Come on, Oliver and Lenny are probably waiting for us."

We walked out of the bathrooms to find a quiet building. The animatronics were all shut off, staring rather creepily into the darkness. I shook my head and dragged Katie down a long hallway, shouting for our friends along the way.

"Lenny! Oliver! Get out here!"

No answer. I kept walking, and we found ourselves in a room that looked like the security guards office. No one was there, which I found odd, but I heard a bell ring from somewhere. I didn't pay any mind and say down in the leather office chair while Katie picked up a tablet on the desk.

"I wonder if this place has wifi." She commented, turning it on. A map of the building was on the screen, and I could see each of the rooms as she tapped on them. When she hit the prize corner, I noticed that there was a button on the screen that said 'music box', that was ticking down slowly. Katie held it down until it was full again.

"I guess the poor baby needs music to sleep." She chuckled, her face suddenly paling considerably. "Oh my god, Janus, they're gone."

"What do you mean gone?" I looked on the screen, seeing that all of the on stage animatronics were in fact gone. We found them thankfully, but they were all wandering through the building in some kind of free roaming mode.

"Shit, what do we do?" Katie looked scared, so I put on the tough front.

"We'll be the security guards for a night, easy. I'm sure this is what they usually do, right?" I took the tablet. "Alright, Katie, flash the flashlight down the hall."

"Okay." She picked it up, flashing the beam down the hall. We saw a flash of yellow, and Chica was standing there, staring at us with her cupcake in her hand.

"Damn she moves quick for a chicken." I chuckled, flipping through the cameras again. The music box was at half, so I wound it up again. I noticed there were vents on either side of us, this room must get stuffy in the summer. I flashed the lights for both of them, finding nothing of interest, until I looked at the cams. The kid with the balloons was inside the right one, trying to get in. I flashed the button frantically, trying to scare him off.

I hadn't realized that we were getting into a rhythm. Flash the flashlight, check the cameras, wind the music box. We had gotten so into it that we hadn't noticed the hours slipping away. It was already five thirty when I checked the time again, so I began to relax. Katie noticed and did the same, still on guard though for the robots in the halls.

"How much time left?"

"Well, it's almost six, I assume that's when this is all over." I shook my head. "Alright, ten minutes to go."

"Good, I'm starved."

In exactly ten minutes, the bell rang, signaling the end of the night shift. We cheered and high fived, sprinting down the halls and back into the bathroom. There was a window in there that we could both easily fit through, so we did, and landed on the pavement outside.

"I wonder what happened to the boys." I though aloud, pulling my phone out of my pocket. I hadn't noticed the texts from both the boys and my parents. I guess I forgot to tell them I was staying the night at Katie's.

I called Lenny, waiting for him to answer. When he did, he was laughing his ass off and I didn't know why.

"Dude where were you last night?"

"We didn't think you were actually going to go through with it." He cracked up. "How scary was that place at night, did anyone come in and catch you guys?!"

"No, actually, we played security guard for the night and totally beat this places ass. Those animatronics move at night, you would have shit your pants."

"Jesus Christ, they move at night too? How much creepier can they get?"

"Alright, well, I have to go, my parents bombed my phone. See you later jerkwad."

I ended the call and called my mother. She picked up on the first ring, not unexpected. "Janus?!"

"Hey mom." I said happily. "I'm sorry I forgot to call yesterday, I was with Katie all day and I ended up staying over at her house."

"Hi Mrs. McKinley!" Katie shouted into the phone, providing me ample proof I was with my best friend. My mom sighed, her tone easing a bit.

"We were worried. Next time, please be sure to call first."

"Sure mom, I'm still sorry."

"It's okay, we'll see you when you get home."

I ended the call, shouting nonsense as we walked. Soon enough we got to the center of town, where I parted ways with the girl and began the walk back to my house. It didn't take long for me to be behind the front door, marching up the stairs, and closing the door to my room. The first thing I did was collapse on my bed, passing out instantly.

~mini skips~

It was seven when I woke up, stretching and smiling. I'd all but forgotten about what I'd seen last night, but right now, I was too hungry to make it my priority. So I walked down the steps, only to be greeted by my parents, sitting in the kitchen with stern looks on their faces. Uh oh.

"Mr. Fazbear called today," my mother said. "Said that he'd seen you and Katie on the security footage last night, sitting in the night guards office and playing with the animatronics."

I forgot that Mr. Fazbear was an old friend of my parents. So of course he'd recognize their daughter on the camera footage. My face flushed, and I knew there was nothing I could do to lie my way out of it, so I told the truth.

"Lenny and Oliver basically dared us to stay overnight, but they lied to us and they weren't there. So when we tried leaving, we realized we couldn't until six. So we had to wait it out."

"That's no excuse for breaking the law." My dad scolded. "You're lucky we know Mr. Fazbear or things would have come out differently."

"Yeah." I said, too ashamed to say anything else.

"He's not going to press charges for breaking and entering," mom paused. "If you and Katie agree to work the night shift from now on. He said something about the other night guard complaining about conditions so he got moved to the day shift. And you two apparently handled yourselves pretty well."

"Wait, seriously?" I blinked, astonished. "So, he wants Katie and I to work there?"

"Said he'd love to have you on board actually." Dad sighed. "You guys start Monday night, midnight to six. He'll pay you guys one twenty a week plus overtime for weekends."

"That...actually isn't too bad." I smiled.

"Yes, but you're grounded for lying."

"Shit."

"Language young lady." Mom chuckled. "Dinner's ready if you're hungry."

My stomach yelled as an answer.
