The earthy colors decorated the garden with the symbol of the coming end of this year's life. Drops of water slid off of a leave, gently hitting my window. I love Autumn. A perfect mix of a reversed Spring and the cold of Winter.

As I gazed back on my replica of our garden on a piece of paper, my little sister busted into my room to grasp at my leg, "Santa'll be here soon!"

Her smile glistened my way like the glitter on the colorful dress of her fairy doll, so I just had to laugh.

"You know", I picked her up to sit her on my lap, "Halloween comes before Christmas! Aren't you excited for that?"

"But noone gives presents!", her hands tightened on her doll and my arm as she pouted.

"Ever heard of...",I had to think of something fast to make her excited about my favorite holiday, "The Autumn Spirit?"

Her eyebrows furrowed as she tilted her head. A way too dramatic gasp slipped my lips, "You've never heard of her?"

She shook her head aggressively as she bounced on my lap, "Tell me! Tell me!"

A giggle sneeked out of my mouth,"Okay! Okay!", I picked her up and faced my bed before I threw myself into it with a gentle thud, my sister covered safely,"It's about a young Guardian. Her Hair is dark like the dying leaves and her Eyes are as greyish blue like the cloudy skies. With just one gentle fingertip, a green leaf will wilt underneath that touch, helping the leaves fall. Dancing alongside them in the Wind...which helps her fly."

Fascination twinkled in the toddlers eyes.

"Her elf like hoodie is draped over her body like a soft yellowy beige blanket. It can cover her mouth like a scarf because of the cold. She wears a white shirt underneath and brown sweatpants, but no shoes. She loves to be barefoot, but because of all the fallen pointy sticks her legs are very bruised so she wears thick knee-high socks. They're very dirty though. She even has a big weapon! A scythe to help the harvest with it's nicely cut patterns in the metal."

It's too late to change the idea of a weapon, especially because of the scythe so I have to roll with it now somehow.

"The scythes stick covers the upper side of the metal so she can stand on top of it. And since Halloween is in Autumn, the holiday belongs to her. She looks after all the children trick and treating, and often sneaks a little more candy into the children's bag. And the candy she gives, is the best candy that was ever tasted."

"Really? What's her name?"

"Well...", I awkwardly smiled as I thought of any name,"Her Name...she's named...Akiko!"

Our mother then called us to dinner and with the new found information and childlike amazement, my sister dashed into the kitchen, immediately telling my family about the Autumn Spirit. They played along, amazement imminent in their smiles as she ranted on.

After dinner I entered my darkened room that was lit by the loving moon with an unusual yellow glow. I'm aware it's the full moon, but it doesn't usually glow like that... I was too amazed of the colors, plugging in earphones into my ears to listen to music until I slowly fell into the comforting darkness of slumber.
