Part 1 - Awoken

 "You never realise what you didn't have until you lose everything else"

I let out a quite overly exaggerated sigh as I emerge from this brick lay of a bed, looking around at this generic room until I look around a little harder, looking into every little detail, oh wait there isn't any. I remember this isn't a regular bed, wait, who else is in this room with me?! I can hear their gentle snoring bellow me, this feels weird. This is the closest thing I've had to human interaction in a while. Wait... I think I know who this is, I-it's Sky! They told me about them the entire drive here, they said they'd get him while I was asleep... I guess I forgot. By the sound of their soft, gentle snoring I'll take a guess and think they're actually kinda cute, but how cute? Okay I'm giggling to myself imagining the person below, are they tall? Are they small? long hair or short hair? Skinny or f- Gah! The imagery with just a snore and a few vague descriptions which gave me miniscule detail on what this person could look like.

Wait...

They've stopped snoring... Are they awake?

I just lay there on my side staring into space, waiting for this person to show their face, I'm really excited for this, Jesus Christ. "Hey there!" I couldn't help but jump at this face just appears from the side of the bed! And oh my god, it was bloody adorable! With perfect pinchable cheeks, big brown eyes that just make you smile at the sight. They seem to be wearing a large "MISFITS" band t-shirt that looked way to big for them accustomed with a pair of boxers. And I just realised they're the same height as me! Looks like they dragged a box over from across the room to stand on it. Dammit, they're adorable, what do I do now?

"U-uh-er..." I take a deep breath before I try to speak, jeez this is embarrassing, why're they so happy? "...Hey h-how're you?" great, now I'm blushing, and that really stands out with these boring beige painted walls, they have so much money and they can't be bothered to decorate? Dang, sort it out. "Oh wow" they say softly, dammit their voice is so cute, I guess their parents wer- No, we're here to forget about that, this is a new life. I'm so confused, what was he going 'wow' about? All they did was look at m- Oh god, t-the scar! As I realised the disgusting scar on my right cheek was beginning to reveal, I quickly place my hand on top. "w-what're you 'wow-ing' about?" This is the worst morning ever, but also the most pleasant I've had in a while. They quickly climb up and sit cross legged infront of me, after a few minutes of dead silence and them sitting there staring at me (which was rather unsettling and made me feel a tad self conscious)

"w-why are you looking at me like that?" My cheeks are turning a deeper pink, oh lord. Why did they have to be cute?! I would've been fine if they're just some regular guy, god I'm dying in here. Oh my god what are they doing now? Sky's just leaning closer and closer towards me until our noses are nearly touching "hmm... You're pretty cute!" O-oh my god, he's cracked out the biggest and brightest smile which is completely infectious, because I'm now smiling like an idiot! "So what's your name dude?" I reply quickly, like I was just waiting for that question from the moment I knew they were below me, Sky's so fucking cute okay, you kinda just plan this out before you even meet them. "Max! I-I know your name is Sky right? Mrs. Janeson told me about you, I was k-kinda really excited to see you..." Okay, now my cheeks have gone a horrible vermilion shade, it's like the more I say more I embarrass myself.

"Awww! Well guess what, we live together now!" "w-woah!" I suddenly blurt out as Sky suddenly hugs me tight, they're so warm aw, well, atleast I now have a friend.

Yay!

(Okay okay just in case anyone is wondering, the reason why I keep saying they is because Sky is gender fluid and prefers Gender Neutral pronouns, all the characters that shall be used I know/ know of, this is just a silly thing with me n' friends but aye why not put it on wattpad)
