Sanctuary: The Lives and Deaths of Chris Leion

Chris Leion was late for his trial. He was defending the city in a criminal case. It was over discrimination as it usually is in 1962 in Alabama. This one man had started a riot that became violent. He was guilty and Chris felt no sympathy for that man. All Chris wanted to do was bring justice to people who deserved it. He exited his house and got into his Plymouth. Strangely he couldn't remember past four years ago.

"You are here by banished from Gallifrey and exiled to Earth.". Someone brought down a Charmeleon Arch and strapped it on Chris's head. Then he woke up in a jail cell. A police officer past by and did a double take,"How did you.."
Chris shook his head,"Where am I?",
"Auburn, Alabama.",the officer opened the gate. Chris walked out of the police station. This was close to a university. He decided to check out the university but found nothing

"Drayginnonsorkordusktrel, stop, you are under arrest for interfering with the time/space continuum.",a agent from the Celestial Intervention Agency shouted. He teleported Draygin to a cell and told him his hearing was scheduled for tomorrow.

"You're finally back. We thought you were taken away.",said his best friend. "No, I would never abandon my good friends or my job. Running a law firm pays a lot. I got this far by working here for just a year, it could be taken away from me a lot quicker.",he replied. He stepped outside and lit a smoke. His partner and co-owner of the law firm, Martin Van Buran(Soon to be Sr.), stepped outside,"Is it true that you just appeared in a jail cell in Auburn?",Van Buran said and Chris nodded,"Can't remember what I was or what I did before that.". Van Buran sighed,"The election is next year, you should run for D.A.(District Attorney)",Martin had asked Chris this several times, he had said no but then,"I might just do that.",Chris said. That afternoon they started planning.

Dr. Chris Leion, a former doctor and law firm owner. He defended people he actually felt non guilty. His partner, Martin Van Buran, didn't do business like that. He defended everyone who had the money. They were practically the best lawyers in Alabama.

Today was Election Day, and Chris was excited. They were to hear the results tomorrow. His was running as Republican. Van Buran and him were smoking beside the radio the next day. They announced the mayor and other U.S. and State legislature positions until they got to District Attorney. The announcer said,"By a major landslide the new D.A. is Chris Leion!". Van Buran shot up,"God damn it we won!" He clapped and Chris stood up. They said this would take effect January the 1st which was in a month. Right before Christmas he packed up his office and the last week of December unpacked it in his office in the city hall.
