It had been a month since the wedding and since Lyric had spoken to Daniel. After the wedding, she couldn't bear going to the reception so she went home to her loveless apartment. Daniel called her a few times that night and several times since then. He even left a few text messages and voicemail. All of them went unanswered.

Lyric was trying to heal her heart and she wouldn't be able to do that with him there every step of the way. She had to admit that she missed him terribly. This would mark the longest time apart they'd had within in the last thirteen years that they'd been friends. She'd dialed his number and hung up countless times wishing things could go back to the way they used to be. Back when they were in college, spending the night in one another's room. All of Daniel's girlfriends hated Lyric for it but she never cared and neither did he. They had never let a woman come in between their relationship until now.

Lyric found solace in working out. She found herself working out at least twice a day. She had been on a real health kick this month resulting in a twenty pound weight loss. Lyric loved her new size and didn't mind losing about ten pounds more. She had always been a curvy chick wearing a size 16 throughout high school and college. Now she was wearing a twelve and loving every second of it. The weight lost gave her a new found confidence. Lyric had never been insecure about her size but losing weight just made her feel five times better.

"Yoooooo baby! What's up?" Rick, one of the trainers at Club Fitness, yelled across the room. Lyric rolled her eyes with a smirk creeping up on her lips.

"Hey Rick."

"Hm you looking good in them pants baby." Rick leaned on a machine, his eyes roaming the curves of her body.

"Yea that was sort of what I was aiming for, perv." Rick smiled before wetting his lips and speaking.

"I don't think you need to drop anymore weight. You're the perfect size. Nice and think. Just tone and you'll be good." Lyric nodded her head. She'd been told that a few times even though she didn't mind losing a few additional pounds.

"You tryna train me for the low?"

"Since I got a thing for you, I'll train you for free. You're usually here during my down time anyway. Let's go hit these weights."

Rick began walking towards the weight section, leaving Lyric to follow him. Rick was damn fine, if Lyric had to say so herself. He was at least 6 foot 3 inches tall, towering over her 5 foot 7 inch frame. She always felt that she was pretty tall for a woman and always seem to meet men her height or shorter. Tall men were always a winner in her book. Not only was Rick tall but he had beautiful black skin, that reminded her of Hershey kisses, full lips, and a beautiful smile. A complete winner in her book but Rick was a bit vain and aggressive. He knew he looked good and mentioned it often. On more than one occasion he hit on Lyric telling her how good they'd look together. Lyric usually laughed him off and continued working out. There wasn't a day that she was at Club Fitness and Rick didn't try her. Aside from that, Rick was a cool guy and they on their way to being good friends.

"We're going to start light." Rick handed her two weights which were relatively light in her opinion.

"Ok this is what I want you to do." Lyric watched Rick's muscular arms flex with each move he made with the heavier set of weights. "Curl up in front of you, then drop lift on the side, drop. That makes one. We're going to do fifteen of those. You got that?"

"Oh huh? Can you do that again?" Rick nodded, wetting his succulent lips and repeating the lifting movements that she'd be mirroring. Lyric hadn't been paying attention the first time, choosing to watch his body instead. Just as she ignored the workout before now she was watching his chiseled abs through his fitted Nike top. Then it dawned on her that she hadn't had sex in well over a year, going on to two years. She stared at Rick like a juicy steak that she'd been craving for ages and couldn't wait to stick her claws into him. 'This is bad', Lyric thought to herself before shaking her head.

"Lyric!" Lyric eyes lifted from his chest to his face, eyes wide like a deer caught in headlights. She'd been caught staring but she can't really say she cared.

"I knew you wanted me. Just me know when babe. We can make this happen." Rick puckered his lips and kissed the air causing Lyric to chuckle and shake her head. She began to lift her arms, doing an half ass job of the exercise that Rick demonstrated.

"Hey, your form is all wrong. Were you paying attention either time?" Lyric chuckled once more before shrugging her shoulders.

"Come here, let me guide you." Rick stepped behind her, pressing his chest to her back. He wrapped his fingers around her wrist as he began his personal lesson.

"Starting in the front. Arms down, you going to curl up then back down. Then from the side you're going to lift up with your palms facing the ground, lift up and down." Once again Lyric ignored every word that fell from his sexy little mouth. Her body was on fire just from the feel of his body against hers.

"You got that?" He spoke lowly in Lyric's ear, his deep voice traveling from her ear canal, coursing through her body like a drug. His hands moved from her wrists, trailing up her from forearm to her shoulders.

"Lift." He muttered lowly while gently squeezing her shoulders. Taking a step back from her, he watched her lift. "When I'm finished with you, that body gon be just right."

Lyric ignored Rick trying to gain control of her body. Rick knew what he was doing. She was starting to think he was a master a seduction. Lyric decided to continue her exercise silently. Rick was not going to be healthy for her.
