Angel Winged Griffin (Remake)

Prologue

"Mm? Oh man... What time is it?" I sit up and look at the library's clock. It's 10:27. "Shoot, I better get home." I rub my eye and stand, grabbing my book bag and leaving the library. "I'd better take the detour if I want to get home soon."

The detour goes through the docks, though it's completely safe.

When I arrive there, I hear a voice shout. "Your time is up old man!" There's a gunshot, and as I move in closer I see a dirty blond guy kick a bleeding corpse into the water, and look in my direction. "Hey you!" I growl and load my Bey onto the launcher and launch it.

"Alright, do it now!" The man fires at me and I dodge the bullets as Dragoon rams into a trash can that slams into the man, who falls over and drops the gun. I snatch Dragoon and the man's gun and run to the police station.

I barge in and the lady at the desk looks up at me, flinching when I drop the gun on the desk. "There was a murder at the docks, this was the weapon the man was using." She nods hurriedly, gathering some officers to check it out, and I lead them to the docks.

"So what did the man look like?" The sketch artist, who looks kinda young to be in this business, asks.

"He had dirty blond hair, pale skin, he wore a trench coat, and I think he had brown eyes." She nods, sketching out the description.

"Did he have any specific facial features?"

"He had a scar on his nose, I think."

"Hmm... Like this?" She shows me his sketch, which comes very close to the man.

"That's him." The sheriff looks at the picture and scowls.

"Witari Hakura, he's been killing people left and right. He's killed a famous restaurant owner, a husband and wife, a famous movie star, two millionaires, a housewife, a mother, her son, and now this guy." He says, glancing at the corpse they pulled out of the water. "He's been running around for years...... So anyway, what's your name, son?"

"Sakyo Kurayami."

"So, Sakyo, I'm going to give you a ride home so you don-"

"Well, well... Sakyo Kurayami?" I turn and see Witari standing on top of abuilding, his arms crossed and a cocky smirk spread across his face.The officers point their guns at him. "Looks like I have another kid to add to my kill list."

"Not a chance..." I growl.

"You think you can beat me, don't you? The last one said he could, acted all high and mighty, but he fell, all the same." He laughs, and as the officers release a spray of bullets, he jumps down and disappears.

"Blast!" The sheriff says. "Come on Sakyo, I'm giving you a ride home." I nod and follow him to the cop car.

(???) I walk over to where she sits. "You called, Amaterasu?"

"Yes, it's your time to return to earth and stop Witari before he kills Sakyo Kurayami."

"Yes ma'am." I spread my wings. After all this time, Witari is going tofall.

"Be brave, the enemy must not succeed." I nod and she warps me back to earth, and as my Guardian form diminishes to my original one, I fly to Metal City.

"Here I come Sakyo!"

(Sakyo) It's quiet as I ride to my place with the sheriff, and he suddenly asks. "This your first time riding in a cop car?"

"Um... No, not really..."

"What did they arrest you for?"

"Well, it's kind of fuzzy... But back in my hometown, they told me that I threatened to stab a man with a stick unless he made me a chicken-"

"Areyou even old enough to drink son?"

"No, I was under the influence of nitrous oxide."

"Okay then....." I look out the window.

"Oh, that's it." He stops the car and I get out.

"You stay safe, you hear?" I nod and go inside, locking the doors and windows before going to bed. This has been a long night for me.
