Chapter 10

Jason's POV

I finished up the the papers on my desk when I heard a knock on my door.

'' Come in'' I said. I saw Jessica enter.

''Hey'' she said.

''Hey Jess'' I said. I saw a sad look on her face.

''What's up are you OK'' I asked. She started to cry.

''G-r-r-e-e-g-g  b-ro-ke u-p w-ith m-e-e-e" she stuttered while crying.

FYI- Greg is Jessica's made believe bf,  she  made him up to get closer to Jason.

''Why?" I asked.

''Cause I chose work over him'' she said.

''Hey its OK, he's a jerk to let go such a beautiful and talented young woman.'' I reassured her.

She stopped crying. ''Y-y-uo think I'm beautiful ?"

''Yeah sure'' I said. She smiled. Well this is weird more like awkward.

''You know your really a charming man Jason'' she purred walking closer to me.

''Ummm thanks'' I said. She came over to me and sat on my lap again. God why does she always do that.

''Did you enjoy the kiss we had the other day'' she whispered in my ears.

''I don't know''

''It's a yes or no question Jay'' she whispered and started to kiss my neck.

''Yessssssssss'' I groaned. She smiled against my neck.

''Good boy'' she said. I realised what I have done.

''No Jessica I didn't enjoy it OK I have a fiance and i love her.'' I said. What did I just say I love her.

''Have you ever told her that'' she asked. Oh I never really thought of that.

''No.'' I said. She gave me a flat look.

''Does she love you back?" She pressed.

''I don't know'' I said softly. She lift my chin up ''Baby your confused, you dont know your feelings right now.'' She said.

''Look Jessica I know your sad right now but I gotta go I'm gonna be late for my engagement party.'' I said hurriedly, I took up my briefcase and hurried out.

''Um you can come if you want'' I shouted while running down the stairs. I heard her say something along the lines 'I don't care' and 'I wouldn't miss it'.

I called my driver to pick me up, this was really one the days I didn't feel like driving.

Sarah's POV

After Jhena did my make up and curled my hair, I put the dress on and went downstairs. I was sitting in the dining room tapping the table in a rhythm.

''Hey what's wrong'' Jhena asked. I turned to look at her.

''N-nothing I'm fine" I lied. The truth is I'm really bummed that Jason isn't here yet after all it is our engagement party.

''Don't lie to me'' she demanded. Yup she and Jason have something in common other than their identical looks.

I sighed, giving in. ''Fine I'm pretty sad that Jason isn't here yet, I mean its our engagement party he can't be late.'' I said softly.

''Oh honey its OK knowing Jason he's a work freak something he got from dad, don't worry he'll be her-'' here words were cut off my Jason running into the room.

His hair neatly gelled , he was dressed in a expensive black and white suit and he looked beyond amazing. He could be a model.

''I'm soooo sorry I'm late baby I just lost track of time'' he apologized.

''Um I'm gonna go'' Jhena said and rushed out.

I heard the chair beside me screeh and I saw Jason looking at me with guilt in his eyes. I turned away from him. I heard him sigh in frustration.

''Look babe I'm sorry that I'm late ok, I got  so caught up in work and it kinda slip my mind, hey you know that I wouldn't miss this for the world you know that right?'' He asked.

I nodded.''Yeah'' I said but my voice cracked.

"Good then why are you upset baby?" He asked

''No reason" I said more bravely.

"Ok good"  he said.

''Ok everyone can I please get your attention?" He said and everyone looked his way.

''First I want to thank you all for being here -" as Jason continued his speech I saw Jessica walk in. But every body kept their attention on Jason.

My eyes widen. Omg what hell is sh- wait Sarah don't you dare finish that question of course she's here Jason invited her.

She saw me staring and smirkes at me. I looked away and payed attention to Jason. With that I saw Jason kneel down in front of me, and I heard aww's around the room.

''Sarah Elizabeth Lockhart will you make me the happiest man on earth and marry me?" As he asked that I feel a blush creep up on my cheeks great know I probably look like a beetroot right now, my eyes started to water.

I looked down on Jason and saw how adorable and handsome he was.

"Yes" I said while nodding and crying even harder.

Jason smiled so brightly that he would put the sun to shame. He slid the ring on my finger , got up and kissed me. The crowd erupted in cheers. We broke the kiss.

After a few minutes of congrats and compliments I decided to go get a drink.

I got my drink and headed outside.

''Well look at who's all engaged" I turned around to see the devil her self Jessica.

''Yeah''

''Aww honey I feel so sorry for you''

''And why is that ?"

''Don't you remember that Jason's only marrying you because of your daddy's little dept, face it Sarah he doesn't want you it was just an act, he will eventually come crawling to me when you cant satisfy him''.

I felt tears welling up in my eyes. What if she's right what the hell am I talking about of course she's right. But I won't let her know that.

''Jason would never do that to me'' my voice cracked.

She smiled at me ''Oh honey don't count your chickens before they hatch cause you don't know what I'm capable of.'' With that she walked away.
