Chapter 1: Will She Do It?

A/N: The girl above is Alyssa so don't get confused and I'm also having a contest for 4 other characters so submit a form which is a name, age, crush, and personality.

"Should I tell my parents?" Alyssa asked herself as she paced around the her room, not knowing what to do. She was stuck with the siren's words in her head. She decided not to tell, although it was risky not to. Just then, she heard a knock on the door. She peeked through the window and saw that it was Erika, a friend of hers. Alyssa opened the door with a hint of frustration. "Hi Alyssa!" Erika said. Erika saw the look on her face, and she said "Oh. Sorry. What's wrong?" "Everything!" Alyssa said. "Woah woah, don't get frustrated. Just tell me what's wrong." Erika said. Alyssa fought over herself if she should tell her. Erika was very good at keeping secrets, so she told her "Erika, this is a very, very big secret. Promise not to tell anyone?" "Of course. I swear." Erika said, getting ready to hear Alyssa spill the beans. "Ok, hear goes...." Alyssa said. "Oh come on! Just hurry up and spill it." Erika said. "Ok, ok, I was spelled by a siren, the mythical kind, not the police kind, and then she said that I had 10 years to find the cure that she hid somewhere(This part was not in the prologue) and I had to find it." Alyssa said very, very fast. "Woah, this is so confusing." Erika said, trying to comprehend the whole thing Alyssa just said about the Siren. "Ok, so siren.....mythical.....cure.....spelled.....blah, blah, blah." "Why is it always so hard to let you comprehend what I'm speaking!" Alyssa blurted in frustration. "Ok, jeez. So you got spelled by a siren, you have to find a cure that she hid in 10 years, or else you become a evil mermaid spirit-thing with a black tail and lives in the waters, right?" Erika replied. "Wow.........." Alyssa said surprised seeing that Erika actually comprehended everything she said. "You actually got it right." "Yep, so stop being a do-do bird and actually stop making things up." Erika said, not believing a word Alyssa had said about the siren and stuff. "Ugh, you know what? I was NOT making it up. You have to be like this, don't you? Be all stubborn and picky, even if it might be the truth. How did we even become friends?" Alyssa said. "Maybe we don't have to be friends." Erika said as she stood up and headed for the door. "Bye, Alyssa." Erika said before slamming the door shut. "UGH!" Alyssa screamed in frustration. She just has to get the best of me, doesn't she. Alyssa thought, starting to regret everything she said. Alyssa decided that she will go search for the cure and try to prove Erika wrong.
