Who was this person and why did he insist on keeping me from my relaxing book time? I don't think that he is required to be here, when can he leave? All I ask for is to be able to sit and read on this swing and settle down from the stressful day I've had today. That isn't too much, is it?

"I don't remember asking you to be here. In fact, I just told you to leave. Now go away." I put as much sass and exasperation into my words as possible, hoping it will make him leave. Nobody wants to hang around rude people do they?

"You just don't know that you want me here yet."

"Okay, whatever. Will you at least tell me who you are?"

"Rits, Noah Rits." He flicks his hair out of the way of his eyes as he says this to me.

I roll my eyes at his antics. That was the cheesiest thing I have ever heard. "How very Bond of you, but that doesn't answer my question."

The boy, Noah, climbs down from his tree branch and sits across from me. Much to my dismay, he grabs my book and begins to flip though it, like he owned the thing or something. The nerve this boy has. Maybe he knows my mom or her room mate, I can't see any other reason as to why he would know me.

Just when he is about to rip a page of my book by turning the page too harshly, I grab it from his hands and quickly tuck it behind my back. I make a mental note to never let him near any of my books again, as if he will be around to do it again. "Are you going to tell me who you are? Are you friends with Sarah or something, her room mate maybe?"

¨Wouldn't you like to know.¨

I was about to retaliate when I hear Sarah call for me. I turn around to finish what I thought could have been the best comeback in my life, but he was gone.

The next day was Monday, and that meant going to my new school. My new school was called St. Antony's. It wasn't a catholic school, like the name may or may not imply. Apparently, there was a man named  St. Antony who was like some kind of education guru who decided to make a way to a higher education in the small town of Goldburg.

St. Antony's was a tiny school , which isn't a surprise for a town the size of Goldburg. I guess there to be about two hundred students in the high school total. If you split that up into the four grade that are in the high school, you get about forty people in my sophomore year. In my old school in the city, there would be at least a hundred. This was going to be a huge change for me.

"Have a good day, Holland. Call me if there are any problems. Don't hesitate." Sarah yells to me as i hop out of her car.

"Thanks. See you later."

I look at the large glass doors to the school and take a deep breath. The office is on the right and i have to wait for the click to signal that they were unlocked but it never comes. Didn't they see me standing here?

"What are you waiting for? Go in?"

I turn around to see Noah Rits.

"Why are you here? Are you a student? Were you a student I mean."

"Oh. So you did realize it then?"

"Of course I did."

"Hm. Well, why aren't you going in?''

"The doors didn't click to tell me they're open."

"These doors don't get locked."

"What," The doors aren't locked? "But what if there is an intruder?"

"People here don't even worry about that down here. They only lock the front doors. Now, hurry up and go in. You're getting weird looks."

I look around and see that I truly am getting weird looks. My face turns bright red and I push open the doors to the office. I am greeted by two older looking women with name tags reading 'Olivia' and 'Greta'. They look up as I walk in and give me a sweet smile.

"Hi Honey. What can I do for you?" asks Olivia.

"I'm new here, I was wondering if I could get my schedule and things." I reply with a small voice.

"Of course, dear. If i could have your name, please."

"Holland Young."

"Beautiful name, dear. Here's your things. We could get a guide down for you if you'd like."

"That'd be wonderful, Miss Olivia."

As Olivia called for my guide, I got to know Greta. She has two children, a boy and a girl. Her daughter has just had a baby named Sicily. Olivia joined in the conversation after she finished her call. Olivia's grandson had just started kindergarten the week before. Soon, the door to the office opened and a girl with two low pigtails came in. She looked nice enough, with her blonde hair and warm brown eyes.

"You called for me Olivia?" She asks.

"Yes. Tabby, Darling will you show Holland around and help her find her classes?"

"Sure, no problem," she turned to me, "You ready?"

I nod to her and follow her out the door. A figure behind her shoulder catches my eye. I'll have to deal with that later. She asks me for my schedule and begins to tell me that we have almost all the classes together. I look at the figure behind her as she talks and narrow my eyes slightly. I just couldn't get away from it, could I?
