The alarm clock buzzed as loud as possible, irritating her ears with the obnoxious noise. Axel grunted and hit the snooze. She fluttered her eyes open, and sat up. Her vibrant red hair touched her shoulders as she pulled on her Bring Me The Horizon crew neck. She grabbed her black skinny jeans from the closet that were ripped practically everywhere, and then finally slipped on her Vans and put everything on, she was finally ready for her first day of Public High school...which always tended to suck. She looked in the mirror mounted on her wall and put on her eyeliner in less than 3 strokes and clenched onto her Totoro backpack with a cereal bar in her mouth. Surprisingly, her dad remained asleep since it was to early for his work. She bit her lip and opened the door, making her way to the bus stop. 'The people there already wanna make me kill myself.' Axel thought and remained silent, putting her earbuds in her ears as she listened to Bring Me The Horizons new song Throne. Nobody there had liked her style, I mean who wouldn't? She was never really taught how to be stylish, and she always favored the boy clothes. So a tomboy and an emo is what most people would say. The bus began to pull up as Axels green eyes trailed to the doors. "Well.. Welcome to hell." She mumbled and slightly chuckled. Axel walked in and sat down, alone. She let out a sigh, leaning her head against the window while watching the other cars pass by busily. Axel heard the doors open as she stood up, nobody knew her. A bunch of people crowded into her and push her through the crowd. "What the fuck?!" She asked, feeling people's stubby elbows press into her arms, leaving bruises. She began to grow aggravated, and shoved people out of her way to get to her first class. Axel walked inside to see many kids staring at her. The stares made her feel uncomfortable and weird. "Can I help you?" She asked, biting the inside of her cheek. The kids looked away and started giggling. She shrugged her shoulders and sat down at a lonely desk. No people in sight from where she sat. A boy walked inside though. He had blonde bangs with brown lowlights, and his hair was slightly shorter than shoulder length. Surprisingly, he had the same style as her. He wore a Pierce The Veil t-shirt with black skinny jeans and converse. Axel placed her head on her desk without even realizing her cheeks were flustered. The boy had hazel eyes and his gaze was trailing towards Axel. He walked around and finally sat near her. Axel is a type of loner. She's never had friends, for she thought that in the end, they'd stab her in the back. The boy extended his hand for her to shake. "Im Roxas." He mumbled with a cheesy smile. Axel kept her head down and nodded, standing up and walking out of the room. Roxas's eyes widened and followed her. Hes always wanted to help people and make sure they were happy. Roxas finally caught up with Axel and grabbed her hand. "Wait." He sighed and looked down at the ground, "Sorry about that I just got a little excited that's all..." He looked up at her with a guilty look on his face, She felt bad all of a sudden. 'I mean it wasn't him who was doing anything wrong Im just not good at talking to people.' Axel thought and gazed into his eyes with a small gasp. "No! It's ok! I'm just not use to people that's all, my names Axel, sorry for just ditching you like that." He started smiling again probably relieved that she was ok which was sweet of him. Axel found herself blushing again and got nervous. "Well I'm glad your ok, maybe we can hang out at lunch or something?" He said it more like it was a question but Axel decided she would accept his invitation anyway. "Yeah sure! Sounds good!" Roxas smiled wider with those cute dimples plastered on the sides of his mouth. "Awesome see ya then!" He responded cheerily. Axel walked to her next class which was English, and took a seat near the back of the room. Two minutes later a group of preps walked in glanced at me and giggled. 'oh boy.' She thought 'Nothin like fresh snobs to ruin my morning.' The prep started to walk over to her with the snobby blonde looking girl in the middle of the room. The girl smacked on her gum making Axel want to slap it right out of her mouth. She smirked with her expensive Sephora brand, bright pink lipstick that made Axe cringe. "So whats a hoodlum like you doing to my boyfriend?" She asked as she chomped on her gum. Axel became irritable to the sound. "Boyfriend? This dude could look like your brother you have incest with. I mean, your IQ combined is probably a 20 anyway so why would i bother with someone as stupid, and dumb looking as him?" She asked and pointed at the boy with a dumb look on his face while sitting at her desk. The basic blonde turned to Axel and made her face her. "Excuse me?!? Did you just call me- the high school head cheerleader dumb?!?" She snapped, glaring at her with a ignorant look on her face. "And what if I did? So what if I call you dumb? You're the popular girl, and you should have your little preppy posse that can reassure you even though its probably a lie just to make you feel better." She said in a sassy remark as if she was mocking her. "Welp. You're boring me now so im gonna leave before you rot my brain." She sighed and sat up, clutching her bag and walking out of the room. The girl threw tons of punches at her before she could make it outside. Axel fell to the floor and covered her face. "Say shit like that and ill do more than dent your ugly face, bitch." She said, biting her lip and walking away. Roxas was in the hallway for going to the bathroom and noticed Axel on the floor. He gasped and ran after her, kneeling down and picking her face up out of her hands. "A-Are you okay?!? What the hell happened?!?" He asked in a demanding tone to know what happened. She remained silent with tears falling to her cheek. "I...I guess I deserved that huh?" She asked, a faint smile upon her lips. His eyes widened and rubbed his thumb on her bruised eye. She winced and smacked his hand away from her face. "Im fine! Just a scratch dammit!" She yelled, looking down at the ground as bruises began to form. Roxas looked down at Axel, keeping her in an embrace. "Come on. I'll get you some ice." He mumbled and picked her up, seeing she was so weak that she couldnt get up. Axel couldnt resist. She just stood there and let it happen. She didnt have the energy to refuse or deny anything. "So. Did you call that fucker out on her dumb self or just pissed her off?" He asked, grabbing a paper towel, soaking it up, and ringing it out before placing it on her small gash. Axel flinched and grunted from the irritating sting of the water. "You know.. You dont have to do this." She mumbled. Some facts about Axel is she doesnt take kindly to strangers, people that act arrogant, or just people she doesnt like. Pretty much people in general. She always thought that people would just use her, or stab her in the back if things didnt go their way. Its happened to her pretty much her whole life. She was a loner ever since 5th grade, when a bunch of kids yelled at her for blaming everything about them failing, Axel "cheating", pretty much anything they could use against her, and when they needed something, they always asked and Axel would give in to it. She had enough and stopped talking, stopped caring. She thought she didnt need friends. She snapped out of her flashback after hearing Roxas call her name a million times. "What?" She asked, fluttering her eyes to adjust her contacts. "I was asking if you were okay, and if not then i can just ditch school today. I mean, I know the jist of being a Junior in High school." Axel turned her head. "Junior?" She asked, seeing that she was just a Sophmore. He nodded and smirked. "I should be a Senior, but i missed to many days. Whoops." He chuckled and smiled. Axels cheeks flushed as she looked down. "Wow. Isnt it like against code to be talking to me then?" She asked. Roxas shook his head and laughed as Axel sat down on top of the sink. "Nah. Thats just some stupid shit preps make up." He said with a smile. "Lets get out of this hell hole before we evolve into those dumb zombie preps." He insisted, taking her hand as the two sceenie-weenies walked out of the bathroom onto the courtyard out of school.
