Old but still Young

Hi my name is Alice. I'm 16, correction I WAS 16, until the accident. It's been 5 years since it happened and I'm still here. Since its been so long I've finally decided to tell my story. The real story.
Me and Hale ,my bestfriend,  we're coming home from school. We were talking about random things that happened in school and then... it all went black.
A truck had hit me and Hale. The driver claimed he had not seen us even though there was a red light and I was wearing a bright yellow coat while Hale was wearing neon pink. We were rushed to hospital and thankfully the ambulance only took a matter of minutes to arrive but it was just not enough. Hale had a broken rib and arm and a deep gash in her scalp, but I had both my legs crushed, internal bleeding, my head was split open and I was in a coma. My mum and dad rushed into the room but were told to stay outside so the doctor could operate. The nurses were trying to stitch up my head, give me blood, find out where the internal bleeding was while the doctors were trying to stablise me and awaken me from the coma all at the same time. Then I awoke, like as if from a horrible nightmare. I tried to get up but I couldn't. I tried to move but I couldn't. Every little twinge felt like I was being dragged down by a huge weight that couldn't be lifted. Even all my joints felt stiff. That's when I got a sudden urge of energy to move. I was free. I woke up with a breath in. sitting up I scanned the room looking at my saviours expecting them to be as happy as I am to be alive but they al look so downcast. I look out to see my parents along with a doctor only to see my mum break down whole my dad holds her, both crying but not saying anything. Not caring about what I was doing I ran up to them not caring what might happen screaming "I'm all eight stop. tying I'm fine" trying to shake them, hug them, embrace them only to float right through them.
