Caitlyn and Sophia are best friends since grade school, up to now that they are in their high school. They treated each other as sisters. They don't keep secrets from each other, if someone has a problem the other one tries to figure it out. That is what friends are for, right? Always there even in your deepest sorrow.
Until one day, Caitlyn went into a bookstore to buy a gift for Sophia. She finds an interesting book that is a new arrival. So she wants to pay money for it. (But Caitlyn didn't noticed that there was a guy who keeps on staring at her. when she's about to get the book, the guy took it immediately) She said to him: I'm the first to see it, you just took it that fast. But I'm sorry Miss It's already mine. (Said the guy) Caitlyn doesn't want to argue with him, so she finds another book. While finding, the guy come towards her and lend her the book. I know you really want this, so I'll give it to you in one condition. What condition? You and I, Hmm coffee? That's your condition? Yup. Well then Okay… So Caitlyn and the guy (named Lance) went to have coffee…
One day before the birthday of Sophia. Caitlyn went to Sophia's house to tell what happened to her yesterday. Hey there Bes! Guess what? What is it Bes? Um, yesterday I met a guy named Lance after that we went coffee. You went what? You heard it. I mean you went coffee with a guy you don't even know that well? Oh come on Bes, don't be so negative. In her mind It was her bestfriend, I just told her I'll call. But in her surprise it was Lance. She answered it. Can I pick you up? Sure. Okay I'll be there before 6. Okay!
Before 6:oo Lance was already there. They're already on their way. (Caitlyn called Sophia) We're on our way Bes! (After saying that she turns off the call). Sophia begins to think. Who's with her? Ah. Maybe It's Lance. Lance started to talk. Why did you invite me to your bestfriends party? Well, I want you to meet my bestfriend, besides I want her to see my new friend.*smiles*. Lance ask Caitlyn if they can go to his car, he reasoned to get something. So Caitlyn went with him. As they went there, Lance suddenly grab Caitlyn's waist. Are you about to kissed me? Yes! So he pull her closer to his body, and look into her eyes, after that he kissed Caitlyn, so she kisses him back too. (For the first time Caitlyn feels that heat in her body, and for her it was so romantic) Lance ask her so does it mean that were…(With her surprise she said) Yes! *smiles*. (So it was already official that Lance and Caitlyn are in a relationship)
After the party, Lance drove Caitlyn to her house and kissed her on her cheeks. (For Caitlyn that night was so fantastic, not because it was the birthday of her bestfriend but because that night they are officially boyfriend/girlfriend) Caitlyn texted Sophia, I have to tell you something tomorrow Bes. Good night! Happy birthday again.
(Sophia was startled that time. She thinks what would her bestfriend wants to tell her?) I'll figure it out tomorrow.
Morning comes and Sophia was waiting for Caitlyn to come to their house.
Just an hour passed Caitlyn came over there, and told her bestfriend what happened yesterday evening. Bes, Lance and I are in a relationship. What?! You love him? Of course I do. Sophia went to a mall to buy some of her necessities. When she sees Lance with another girl. So she tries to call Caitlyn, but she's not answering. She immediately went to Caitlyn's house again to see if she's there. (Sophia's right, her bestfriend is there. Packing some of her clothes) What are you doing Bes? You're being paranoid. I saw Lance this morning with another girl. What do you want to tell? That he's cheating on me?! Yes! Because I've seen him with another girl, and when did I lie to you huh? You're being foolish Caitlyn. (All of a sudden she slaps Sophia) You're not the bestfriend I once had before. (Caitlyn run away, with tears in her eyes. You're hurting her. Me? Hurting her? Do you think I'm not hurting here? I'm sorry Cait. But I don't love you. I just used you. What?! (Slaps Lance hardly) You mean all of these are not true? What did I do to you that you hurt me this badly? I'm very sorry Cait… No! Nooooooo! I hate you! (Caitlyn doesn't know where to go after what happened to them. Because she knows that her bestfriend is mad at her right now. So she just walk off to their house. When she sees her mum, she suddenly run and hug her. Saying mum I'm so sorry. Please forgive me. It's okay Cait, mum loves you, never forget that. I know I love you too mum. (Embraces each other) Caitlyn you should talk to Sophia, you've hurt her feelings. I don't know how to talk to her mum. Maybe I'll just give her time.
One week later Caitlyn went to Sophia's house. She was just standing in the front door thinking what to say to her bestfriend, hoping she would forgive her. When she's about to knock, the door opened it was Sophia. In her surprise Sophia hugged her. Bes, I felt sorry for everything. You're right he's not good for me. It's okay Bes, I know you just loved him that much. Not now Bes. *smiles*. Now that you've learned something from it, never do the same thing again, ok? Okay Bes! Because of my foolishness I hurt you and mum's feelings. Stop thinking of it Bes, the important thing now is that you are here, although I know you are still hurt of what happened between you and Lance. Time heals all wounds Bes, when that wound heals(pointing to Caitlyn's chest) You will be a better person. *smiles* Thank you for always being there Bes. It's my job. *laughs* Bes, are you thinking what I'm thinking? SHOPPING! *Laughs*
--Nothings more important than having a best friend you can trust and lean on. Not like having a boyfriend who will just hurt you and leave you, when they're done with you. I'm not saying that you will stop having a boyfriend. It's just a piece of advice. Because teenagers right now, prefers to be with their boyfriends than with their friends. But I really admire those people who doesn't leave their friends when they're in a relationship... Because these people are the ones who will make your life extraordinary, they are what we called "Best Friends/True Friends". Lucky you if you have a boyfriend that will love you more than himself.
