Padmé Amidala, senator from Naboo, had been on her home planet for a a few weeks now, helping the new teebs and teebas settle in. Anakin Skywalker, as well as Master Obi-Wan Kenobi was there was well.
"Are you sure they'll settle down here fine?" Obi-Wan asked.
"Yes, Queen Jamillia assured the Chancellor as well as myself that this land is much like the land they are familiar with." Padmé says, looking at the two Jedi.
"I'm sure it is, Senator." Anakin said, a hint of a smile playing on his face. Padmé felt her face returning the smile.
Obi-Wan watched as one of the leaders, Teeb Rikkard, walked over.
"How are you faring?" Obi-Wan asked the older man.
"Well, my son is as well, thanks you you Jedi. He has asked to speak with you. I shall take you to him."
Obi-Wan nodded, bid farewell to Padmé and Anakin, and went with Rikkard.
Anakin took no time in rushing to his love.
"Padmé! Are you alright? How are you?"
Padmé looked at him and rolled her eyes. "Anakin! It's I who should be asking you those things! You shouldn't have put that heavy burden on yourself. You must have known I would have been filled with worry-"
Anakin kissed her, gently, on the lips. "My every thoughts were of you. If that bioweapon had gotten out, to Coruscant, I wouldn't be able to live with myself."
Her gaze softened a bit. "Oh Ani." She whispered, 'if only I could tell you that Bail knows.' She thought, but dismissed it quickly. "Where is the other leader- Teeba Jaklin? The Queen wishes that for me to speak with her to see if she needs anything."
Anakin thought for a moment. "I haven't seen her around. To be honest, Padmé, I don't think she is happy about leaving her home. It must feel different to her- I remember first leaving Tatooine, you're ship was very cold." He smiled a bit. Padmé smiled softly at him.
"Anakin!" This woman, around Padmé's age, ran up to the two.
"Anakin this place is wonderful!" She exclaimed. Anakin glanced at his wife, then the woman turned around. "Devi, this is my uh... Close friend Padmé. She's the reason you're here."
Devi grins and hugs Padmé. Padmé blinks in surprise and glances at Anakin.
"Do you know where I can find Teeba Jaklin?" Padmé asks again.
"Yes, follow me!" Devi says, looking from Padmé to Anakin. Padmé smiles. "Come on then."
Devi led the pair to where Jaklin was staying.
"Hello Teeba Jaklin! This is Padmé, she says the Queen wants to know how you're settling in." Devi explains. Jaklin looks at Padmé, then walks to her. "You're not a Jedi, are you?"
Padmé shakes her head. "No, but my friends are." She looks at Anakin.
"Not just friends." Mutters Jaklin under her breath.
Padmé looked at Anakin again.
"Ah, well, how are you? Do you need anything?" Padmé asks.
"No, we don't need anymore help from the republic. You already destroyed my home." Talkin replies.
"That wasn't Padmé's fault." Anakin argues.
"She's apart of the republic, is she not?" Talkin grumbles.
"I'm sorry about your home Teeba." Padmé responds, trying to keep the situation under control.
"Yeah, well just leave us. You've helped enough." Jaklin says, clearly done with the conversation.
"I'm sorry guys." Devi says once they were out of Jaklin's home.
"It's not your fault Devi." Anakin says. "She just needs time to get over the move. This was the right choice for them."
Padmé nods. "Devi, can I speak to Ani- Anakin alone for a moment?" She asks.
Devi smiles and nods. To Anakin, she adds,
"She's beautiful Anakin. Take care of her."
