[[Trigger Warning: Death]]

The cemetery was full of flowers, and all of them were fresh.

Rain poured from the skies above, falling upon the many figures in black. Some had umbrellas raised, some let the rain pour on them to camouflage tears. The poor flowers that were once fresh, now damp. Silent cries echoed from the crowd as the person in front with an umbrella ends his speech. It was followed by a soft humming of melody.

The scene was so typical that he would have made fun of it.

Would have.

There was a girl in the midst of the crowd of black. She was one of those few who let the rain pour on her, hiding the ever flowing tears. A wet red rose clutched by both of her trembling hands, head staring down, making her damp hair fall on her face. Her black dress, which she chose to wear in this occasion despite the memories it held, now sagging and felt sticky against her skin.

She thought about things. Like how he would've been making fun of today. How he would react seeing her like this. Would he drag her back inside a dry place or would be sit right beside her under the rain? The latter seemed more appropriate for him to do. But of course, if he was still here, she wouldn't be standing here, soaking wet.

If he was still here, he would've already called her up and started to aimlessly rant about the crappy weather it was. He would've come over and bring her favorite books, reading to her with the soft pattering of the rain on the windowpane as background music until she fell asleep. He would've made her his famous hot choco and joke for hours and hours about a Greek myth in charge of the weather.

Maybe if he was still here, it wouldn't be raining.

It would be a bright and sunny day with the blue sky high above them and as they stare up from the grassy field they were lying on, they would see endless cloud shapes. He would hold her hand, and she would be surprised to see how hers looks so small compare to his huge hands but managed to fit oh so perfectly. He would smile at her and spit out another round of nerdy jokes that perhaps only he and her could understand.

She would've took his glasses and wear it despite him saying no. She remembered when she thought he only wore glasses for fun but sooner found out that his glasses were graded. She then remembered his eyes; a pair of bright hazel orbs that looks like a shade of gold when struck by sunlight. His sleek black hair that she loved to run her hands into and his knowing smile that never fails to melts her heart.

He was a total know-it-all and obnoxious at times, she loved to oppose him and definitely stubborn most of the time but he loved her.. and - it took her years to admit it - she loved him, too.

There was it again. That painful sob trying to make its way out of her. She bit down her lower lip to avoid herself from making a sound. The tears continued to flow along with the raindrops but she refused to start sobbing that would turn into complete hysteria. She knew he hated it when she did that.

All she could do for now was to hold in until she could find a place, time, secluded and alone where she could release.

She could feel all eyes on her. She took a minute until she realized it was her turn; she walked towards the front just behind the microphone, her little black dress heavy and wet and the matching shoes are caked with mud. People continued to stare at her, waiting for her to speak,
