"Happy birthday, Dad", I said as we walked out of the movie theatre where we had celebrated. Together we travelled to his big blue truck that he had had for years. I swung open the passenger seat door with ease, which was surprising because it weighed quite a bit. We both jumped in, my dad started the truck and with a loud roar we were out of the parking lot and onto the highway. Oh yeah and I forgot to tell you that my dad is drunk.

I hated my dad, my mom left us about two years ago. I pretended to like him, just so that he wouldn't kick me out of the house. It seemed like he was trying to make my life as horrible as he possibly could. My thoughts were suddenly put aside when I heard my dad's favourite music. Jazz. I hate jazz, I've always hated it and I always will hate it. I escaped from my thoughts and looked through the windshield.

The next thing happened so fast that my mind hurts when I think about it. We had been driving for about 10 minutes when suddenly, out of thin air, a bus came hurdling down the road right at us! My dumb seven year old mind couldn't begin to think of what to do in this situation so I did a trick that they did in the movie we watched at the theatre. Opening the passenger seat door I leaped out of the truck and ran toward the bus. I could hear my dad yelling after me but all I heard were
whispers because the wind was howling at about 50kmph. When I reached the big yellow bus I glued my hands on the front(even though it was moving) and pushed it backwards in one swift motion. The school bus flew back into another car with a flash of yellow. I couldn't believe it worked, the movie thing actually worked!

My name is Jaden Waters and on that day I discovered that I was the strongest person on earth.
