The origins of Sollux the Bee Wonder Kid and Eridan the Fish Boy

It was lunch time before anyone knew it and Sollux was looking for Eridan without it looking like he was. He walked over to the cafe and sat down after buying his things. He saw Eridan come in silently, waiting in line. People were talking all around him before a guy walked up to him and whispered something in his ear. It made Eridan's stomach turn over, his words were cruel and harsh. He wanted to punch him in his smug face but he controlled himself. The guy started touching him and before Sollux could think, he was up and escorting Eridan out, telling the asshole to fuck off as they left. Eridan was holding back tears as they left and he half smiled when he saw the other.
"Hey, thanks guy. You didn't have to do that" he said with a sniffle.
Sollux just shrugged and fixed his bag.
"Why is everyone being stho shitty to you today. You stheemed like sthomeone everyone loved. Did I missth sthomething?"
Eridan just scoffed and looked up,
"I liked this guy, we had a thing going on kind of. I sent him, more intimate photos of myself and when I said I didn't want to have sex with him just yet he sent them out. Along with all our conversations and such. So I'm a whore now and that's that." he said it so nonchalant it almost freaked Sollux out.
"That'sth a load of shit in my opinion" he said simply.
Eridan just shrugged and wiped his eyes.
"I guess, I had it coming though. They always say abstinence is key right?"
Sollux rolled his eyes,
"Thisth isthn't your fault, man. That guysth justh am assthhole. I know what a whore isth and you are the fartherstht thing from it. And besthides, even if you sthlept with fifteen guysth in a week, it sthtill wouldn't make you a whore. your sthex life, or lack thereof doesthn't make you a whore ."
Eridan smiled and looked at the other in his eyes,
"Thanks, Sol. Hey, um this may seem a little odd but would you mind walking me home? Im not in the right state of mind and might mistake a small child for a trashcan" he said with a small laugh.
"Um.. dude I can't be caught at home right now, I'll get in mad trouble"
"Then chill with me at my place. I can tell you don't like school much either so we can just hang out until we're supposed to be home" he paused
"Besides...I don't really trust myself alone, yanno?"
Sollux bit his lip and nodded in agreement. Eridan smiled and they started their walk.

It was a quiet walk back, they didn't say much but they silently enjoyed the company. They had to take the back way into Eridan's house to avoid Sollux's house. They walked into the kitchen and Eridan hung up his scarf and bag. He wasn't even worried his dad would be home, he never is. Sollux slid off his jacket and laid it on the chair next to him. He was almost drooling because the others house was equipped with all the tech in a nerd like Sollux's wet dreams. He knew this guy was loaded but not like this. Eridan laughed a little at the others gapping and poured himself a glass of water,
"Its a little much I know but my dad buys me something new to make up for his very frequent absences"
Sollux just nodded and leaned against the counter,
"I mean shit, I didn't expect you to be stho tech sthavy, or rich"
Eridan just shrugged and sipped his drink,
"I wasn't up until we moved here and my dad started making better money. But even know I'm not very good with it." He smiled and guided the other to the living room.
There was two normal seats and a small couch and he flopped on one side of the couch, offering the other the seat next to him.
"So Sol, tell me about yourself. You're new, a bit of a nerd, and don't look very social so I'd like to know more about you." he had a cockiness in his voice that was always present and he liked it.
Sollux was a bit surprised at the others bluntness.
"Man, are you alwaysth this rudely blunt when making conversthation?"
"Always" Eridan replied simply with a wink,
"Now talk" he raised an eyebrow and sat back.
Sollux took a breath and just started with a few simple things about him. He didn't feel like telling all too much,
"Well, Im sthixteen, my favorite colour isth yellow, my dad worksth a lot stho sthtability is not sthomething I normally have, this is my third sthchool this year, I like computersth, my lucky number is two, asth you can tell I have a very presthent listhp that I hate passthionately and- no nevermind that one'st sthtupid"
Eridan shot up and flapped his arms,
"Nooooo! Tell me tell me tell me!"
Sollux rolled his eyes and looked at him,
"I've a very connected person to beesth. I like them and we justht get along I guessth"
Eridan smiled and giggled,
"Like buzz buzz bees?"
Sollux narrowed his eyes,
"Yesth, like buzzth buzzth beesth. Now it'sth your turn, pretty boy"
Eridan raised an eyebrow and exhaled quickly,
"Well, him let's see. I'm seventeen, my favorite colour is purple, I'm what you could call a hipster, im a pretty good artist, I moved to this small town when I was fifteen, I have a problem, well more of a difficulty, pronouncing the sound of double u, my dad is never home because he works hellish hours so he's never home and uh.."
he put his hand behind his head and laughed a little.
"What? What isth it?" Sollux raised a brow but you couldn't see it under his messy hair.
"I too, have a connection with a certain thing. But its a bit more broad." he took a breath,
"I like water, so sea animals and shit get along well with me" he had a slight blush in his face because he never told anyone that before.
Sollux, for the first time in months, genuinely smiled and laughed.
"Wow. Stho we have a nerdy, gawky, bee boy and a hipster, douchebag, fish kid" he could barely contain his laughter and he didn't mind.
Eridan rolled his eyes,
"Yeah, we sound like super hero rejects holy shit." he smirked and raised a brows as he stood up on the couch and put on a super hero pose,
"We are the dynamic team of Sollux, the Bee Wonder Kid," he pointed to the other who was laughing wildly,
"And Eridan, the Fish Boy. The super hero rejects! Fighting crime that's not really there and probably fucking something up!"
The two boys were laughing and Eridan sat back down, a little closer to the other.
"You're okay, Ampora. You're okay"
