Chapter 7.2

Patrick and I were making our way downstairs when the same feeling I had felt before hit me. It felt even stronger, making a desperate feeling inside of me want to find the source causing this.

"Outside!" a warm breath breathed against my neck. I quickly turned to round to see nothing.

"Did you hear that?" I ask Patrick who was waiting for me.

"Hear what?" he said with a confused smile on his pale face.

"Doesn’t matter" I said and caught up with him. Patrick linked arms with me which I didn't mind at all. In fact it looked like I felt completely comfortable around him. We finally walked through an open double door, and into a room just as fancy as all the others. A long brown table that looked about a century stood in the centre of the room. Sitting around the table was Pearl, Venin the woman I had probable seen all over him in the corridor.

She looked tall with long dark, scarlet hair. Her skin was a cold tan and her thin eyes were a deep sea blue with weird hints of purple.

"Took your time" said Venin,

"yes we did" replied Patrick with the usual smile on his face. I sat down next to Venin thinking Patrick would sit next to me but he went and sat opposite me, in-between the lady and Pearl.

I felt awkward for Venin gave of an awful vibe making my stomach twist.

"Silvia are you okay?" asked the lady. She had a French accent, and her words were drown sounding almost naturally flirtatious.

"Yes" I answered, not sounding as nerves as I thought I would. Being around people I didn't know made me nervous I guess, in this case it was Vampires. Creatures or what ever they call them self , with power beyond imagination. I knew Patrick a little and I guess I was a bit comfortable around him. But the thing that really bugged me was the fact that I could read their facial expressions but not their minds. I could easily do it with humans so why not them?

The answer was probable that they must have more experience and knew how to block their thoughts or something.

I really wanted to know if they were still planning to kill me, like they did yesterday. Which felt almost like a long time ago.

"How long had I been sleeping for?" I suddenly asked,

"A week" answered Venin, I was very surprised but I just nodded.

"Oh almost forgot, I'm Venin, that's Pearl, Patrick and that's Veronica" said Venin.

"um I'm Sil - "

I stopped when I felt like someone had stabbed me in the chest.

That feeling was beginning to get unbearable. Something wasn't right.

Something bad had surrounded the atmosphere and I was sure everyone felt it.

"Can you feel that?" I asked, rubbing my chest.

"Yes but not as strong as she does" said Patrick. He gestured at Veronica.

She looked like a cat that had just seen a mouse. Her skin had gone snow White and her piercing blue eyes were now hypnotically big with cloudy purple swirls circling her iris. She didn't look like she was even breathing for she didn’t even move an inch.

"She has sensed danger" said Venin and I almost couldn't hear him. I was drowned by the whole heart stabbing feeling. I felt like I wanted no, needed to do something.

"I know you want to" that warm voice whispered again making me and the hairs at the back of my neck stand up.

"Silvia?" asked Patrick.

I mentally shock my head and sat back down. Can life get any weirder?

"Sorry I just feel a little bit weird"

"maybe she needs blood" said Pearl in her soft tone.

I took a look at her and she seems to have been watching me. Maybe the whole time. Her skin was as pale as Patricks with rosy cheeks. She wore a blue dress that matched her warm blue eyes. And she looked tall and graceful sitting up on her seat. You could really see a strong bond that lingered in the air between her and Patrick. Even of they didn't speak. But just as long as they were sitting next to each other you could almost see the tiny spark that made their bond so strong it was unbreakable.

"Well do you need blood?" asked Venin suddenly looking at me. Did I need blood?

"No, I don't" I said.

"I'm sure your hungry the food will be out in a minute" said Patrick with a warm smile.

"I want us to have a peaceful meal tonight, so I shall leave the fight to the guards" said Venin,

The double doors opened and in came five maids each holding trays that contained, food. The maids all looked the same, same black eyes, same outfit, and same skin tone.

At the same time the maids each placed a tray containing food on the table.

I studied the maid that served me. I couldn't help but notice a tiny little purple Mark or scar on her chest.

When she got even closer to me, it felt very uncomfortable and troubled.

"Attack" said that warm voice, suddenly activating something in me. And in one breath I was of my seat and had the woman pined up against the wall. My now strong hands wrapped around her neck and blood boiling with sudden rage.

"Rip" ordered the criminal voice.

"SILVIA!" someone shouted, pulling me back to reality. I dropped the lady and she fell to her knees coughing.

The whole idea of coughing reminded me about the freaky scene from my dream. I mentally shock my head.

"I’m sorry, I don't know what came over me, am sorry" I said breathing heavily and looking down at my trembling hands. What just happened?

The woman was still on the floor, breathing coughing. An exact copy of my dream. I'm sure she was going to change and attack any minute, am determined she was.

"Help the Maid up" said Venin to another maid. I made my way back to my seat feeling weird. I didn't want to blush so I made no eye contact.

A screamed and I turned around to see the helping maid on the floor.

"another one on the floor, what did we hire?!"

"Level E" squealed the other maids as they fainted. I knew it, I knew something about that maid wasn't right. She lifted her head up to reveal her ugly transformation. The bulging red eyes, the wrinkly skin just everything about her screamed ‘run away’, but I wasn’t.

Venin and Patrick were up in a defensive position, looking brave and ready to fight. I was up too but not in any position.

The Level Es glowing red eyes met mine, and I knew she was going to scream.

"Close your ears!" I shouted and so everyone did. A strong wave hit me, indicating she had screamed. I stumble back a little but Venin didn't movie an inch. Neither did Patrick.

"Silvia go with Pearl" shouted Venin, but I ignored him, something was telling me to stay. The Level E began to crawl to me, and I knew I had to act fast. I closed my eyes and quickly sent a silent prayer to the voice that always seemed to be whispering to me. I had a feeling it was the only thing that could help me right now.

I trembled a little thinking maybe it was stupid but before I could think about opening my eyes a glowing light appeared.

"Like the extinct once. Rip its head off and tear out the heart" it echoed.

"Do not be afraid" it faded into dust and I was back to reality,

I was suddenly jump on and I fell to the ground. The crazy bitch was on top of me licking her lips with an sssssss. She bent down and started licking the side of my neck. Picking a spot to dig into.

I tried to fight. No no no. She was far too strong, I couldn't get her off. She dug one of her long nail into my neck. I felt it tear apart and I could already picture my blood oozig out. A scream echoed out my gritted teeth.
