"Dude seriously, this is getting sad. Just tell her already." Dean said to a fairly nervous-looking Castiel. Cas has had feelings for you since pretty much the day you met. You were helping the Winchester brothers out with a demon hunt when Cas showed up. You saved his ass along with the Winchesters' while he watched in awe. Since then you've been living with them in the bunker, and you and Cas became good friends. You've had a small crush on him for a while, but obviously never acted on it since any relationship you've ever been in has ended with them leaving or dying. So you suppressed your emotions and enjoyed his company.
"You don't understand Dean", Castiel began, not looking at him, "this is the first person to make me feel like this. To make me feel anything. I cannot just tell her." Dean gave his best friend a sympathetic smile and proceeded the research on his laptop. The bunker was quiet considering Sam had just gone out for a supply run and you were still sleeping since the last hunt you were on tired you out.
You groggily opened your eyes and decided it was time to get up.
"7:30 am" you muttered to yourself, checking you phone to see what time it was, "ugh". You wiped your eyes with the palm of your hands and climbed out of bed. You'd only slept for about 5 hours, but in hunter time, that was like 10. What a good nights sleep. You trudged out of your door and into the hallway not caring that you were still in your red flannel pj bottoms and a black AC/DC tank top.
"What's up?" you asked, entering the library, where Dean and Cas sat across from each other at the long table.
"Searching for a hunt, you?" Dean asked.
"I am going to make myself some breakfast." You said, walking right past them. "Want anything?" You asked, still walking away. You looked back over your shoulder at them and could have sworn you saw Cas gazing at you. Not the 'I'm going to kill you' gaze he usually had whilst hunting with you, but more of a mesmerizing one. You shrugged it off as your eyes playing tricks on you. You entered the kitchen and went straight for the bread.
"Yeah!" you could hear Dean yell, "I want some toast and eggs!" he hollered.
"Well then i guess you should come in here and make it then!" You shouted back, with a smirk playing on your lips. You could just feel Deans eye roll from here.
"Jerk." he mumbled under his breath, a smile on his face.
"I don't know, I think she's funny." Cas said, still staring at the hallway where you had been a few moments ago. He shook from his daze and began blushing as Dean smirked at him from across the table. "I-I didn't mean-" but he was cutoff by the sound of your footsteps echoing through the library. You sat your plate on the table filled with eggs, toast and bacon.
"So" you began, "find anything?" You asked Dean while taking a seat next to Cas.
"Actually yeah" he said turning his laptop a full 180 so you could see the newspaper article clearly. "Four killings in the past two weeks, all females, all reported missing before their bodies turn up on the side of the road somewhere."
"okay-" you said a bit hesitantly, "and how do we know this our thing and not some freak serial-killer?" You asked, taking a mouthful of toast.
"Because-" he stated, putting up his index finger, "not only did they find their bodies, but also reported to be sulfur at every crime scene." He said, turning the computer back around so he could see the screen again. "Normally they wouldn't give a crap, but it turned up with every girls body, so they think it's some sort of signature from the 'serial-killer'" Dean finished, putting quotation marks around serial-killer making it obvious this was the work of a demon.
"So, what? You, me, Sam and Cas?" you asked, taking a sip of your orange juice.
"I don't know, Cas you coming?" Dean asked, turning to the angel who had been watching the exchange between you two. He didn't say anything for a few moments, thinking about it.
"Yes, i suppose so." He replied in his low, gravelly voice, that honestly, was one of your favorite things about him.
"Okay." You exclaimed, finishing off the last of your breakfast, and picking up your dishes and heading to the kitchen. "Be ready in 60."
