I drug myself to consciousness the next morning to find I had in fact slept the whole night in my street clothes and contacts. As I pried my crusty eyes apart I remembered what had happened last night at the tea shop. I silently smiled to myself and slid out of bed. As I was putting on my winged eyeliner in the small dorm room mirror I saw the clock behind me, 9:35! I WAS LATE. I grabbed my bag and birks and ran out the door. As I walked down the old cobble road again, I questioned my decision to grab sandals. It was cold. My toes were purple. My eyeliner was smudged. My hair was ratty. Great first day outfit right?
