Chapter 5

She eyed me from head to toe, with a look of disgust. Then you get that feeling that she thinks she's better than you. Of course she does. She'd think she was better than anyone in the whole World. Heck, she probably thought that if she really wanted it, her 'Daddy' could buy her the whole World. Rich, spoiled, snotty... And most of all; Alex's ex girlfriend. She screwed her nose up at me, and just turned to face Alex, who was currently holding my hand. Yes, that's right, Becky Hetherly. He's mine. I just smirked and nudged closer to Alex.

"Is that your best choice?" She motioned at me, as if I were nothing but a pair of sweaty, holey socks.

Alex frowned. He opened his mouth to say something, but I responded, "excuse me?"

She ignored me. She didn't even move her eyes to look at me. Probably thought I wasn't worth her time. No, you're not worth my time. Instead, she just rolled her eyes and waited for an answer from Alex.

"What's that meant to mean?" I asked, starting to get annoyed at her. Who wouldn't be? Oh right. Her 'friends', who really just want her money.

Again, ignored.

I looked up at Alex. "Yes, she's my best choice," he said, emphasizing the 'best'.

She snorted. Okay, that was disgusting.

"Pig," I muttered under my breath. But it was loud enough for Alex to hear it, and he started chuckling.

Uh, oh. She heard it too. "Poor."

I actually wasn't poor. She was just too rich to understand how 'normal' people live.

"Twig." (Did I mention she was the skinniest thing I've ever seen? She looks like a rat. One that got left to starve).

"Stupid."

"Drowned rat."

"Ugly."

"Slut," Alex and I both replied, simultaneously.

~

A/N: Yes, I know posh words like simultaneously :D

Although I needed the spell checker....

I laughed along with Alex. This was so much fun!

She flicked her blonde curls out of her face and turned around. Probably to go bully some other poorer kid.

Just as she was walking away, I said to Alex, "I can't believe you went out with her."

She stopped, turned around and pointed her bony finger in my face.

"Just you wait! You... My poor little friend..." Friend? "Are going to be sorry. Soon, the whole school will turn against you. Even Alex."

I smirked, "I doubt that."

"Oh really? Well, I know a secret about you. And soon, the whole school will know."

Ha! What could she possibly know about me? She doesn't have a long enough attention span to listen to anything about anyone else but herself.

"Do your worst."

"Oh, I will. And you'll be sorry. So sorry you'll be begging for forgiveness."

This time I was the one doing the snorting. I know, gross. But come on, me? Asking her for forgiveness?

"Sure, whatever you say."

She stalked off to one of her 'friends'.

Alex hadn't said a word in the whole 'finger pointing' situation. I thought he would at least stick up for me. Then again, she didn't do much insulting. I'd of thought he might have dissapeared, but he was holding my hand the whole time. When I turned to face him, he was looking really worried.

"Alex, what's wrong? If anyone needs to be worried, it should be me! And I'm not in the slightest bit worried."

"Sam, do you know who she is?" His voice was shaky.

"Of course I do! She's your ex. And the most evil, self-centred, spoiled bitch on the planet.'

"Do you know what happened to the last guy who got on her nerves?"

I shook my head. He pointed at the self-concious guy who never talks to anyone. His hair falls over his face, and he constantly turns his head around, as if someone's following him. I just thought it was a mental problem.

"What happened to him?" I asked, now starting to get worried.

"He used to be on the football team."

"What happened?"

"He got kicked off."

"Why?"

"She did it. I don't know how, but she managed to get him kicked off the football team."

"What did he do to her?"

"Well, he was carrying a tray of food he bought for his dinner. And he stopped to let her past. But being her, she didn't want to walk past him and expected him to move. So she carried on walking. He tried to move out of the way but his food tray cought her and she was covered in mash potato and beans."

"Wow."

"Don't you see? She could do the same to you!"

"But I'm not on the football team..."

"Sam!"

"Sorry, I just don't see what she could possibly do to me. And that secret she knows about me."

There's something about that girl...
