You stand still in the moonlight.
Holding back your tears, putting up a fight.
Your head bends in defeat.
As tears softly flow down your cheeks.
You clutch the bouquet in your hands,
you put it then, on the sun kissed sand.
Falling hard on to your knees;
you touch the dirt as you say to me:
"Lilies," you try to muster a smile.
My throat clenched, I felt bile.
As I helplessly watch you hide away your tears,
beneath the cloak of your silky hair.
Sighing, I sat down by your side.
As you mumbled of what I used to like,
but then you choked on your words and sobs. . .
I tried to pat but my hand drops. . .
"Sorry. . . I know, I am an idiot." You said.
Hearing that I groaned and shook my head.
Even though I knew you couldn't see. . .
I did it because when you spoke to me.
Things seemed as if they were before.
Living a live to its utter core.
We used to live a life of bliss. . .
But now, I can just clench my fist . . .
For I can't say what I truly feel. . .
I can't tell you that you are my zeal.
My courage, my strength, my love and my pride.
And hence I want you to live a happy life.
- Don't cry, I can't wipe your tears.
But close your eyes and you will feel me there.
-Don't give up on dreams and hope. . .
Till the end, my love, strive and cope.
Until you do, just until then. . .
We will have to wait, you and I.
Because just after this, it will be alright.
You'll have to fumble up your way till then alone. . .
And I'll welcome you then with a: "Welcome Home."
So as I could, that is plead to Lord.
I tried to convey you of my thoughts.
That goodbye is not for us to say,
because we shall meet again one day. . .
