Liz's P.O.V

I plug my phone back in to my charger after I had a 'mini' conversation with Red.

I turn over, and my stomach feels like I'm giving a presentation in front of a panel of judges. I've had the same feeling when I talk to Red.Like butterflies puking rainbows. (Just for you Amaya😊)

Can I be falling for him? I couldn't know even if I was, I've never had a crush on someone, like never.
'C'mon Liz even if you fell for him, he'd never like anyone like you.Your a social outcast and he's Mr.Popular.But hey a girl can dream right?'
*********
The next week flew by. That was until four certain people stopped by.

"Hey you! Anybody here? I need some assistance now! I said now!" Someone screeched.

I rolled my eyes and jogged out to the counter, and put on my best fake smile, which was considerably hard knowing that it was Brittany Trombley.

"Well I see your still alive." She retorted, almost like she wanted me dead.

"Yes, yes I am," I gritted through my teeth. "Anyway how can I help you?"

"I'd like two scoops of birthday cake in the sprinkle cone."

I pushed up my sleeves and grapes the cleanest tool I could scoop the ice cream with. I hadn't even put one scoop in before she opened that big mouth of hers.

"Can you go any slower? By the way I also need 1 scoop of coffee ice cream, mixed with toffee." She said as she blew a bubble of her blue bubble gum.

"Sure," I said as 'nicely' as possible.

As I finished both orders none other than Ashely Hansen walked in. "Is it ready yet? My car is running out of gas?" She complained looking at her fingernails.

"Slow poke over here just finished them," She says as she pays for at and struts off to join her friend.

They slam the door and hop in the car and leave a cloud of dust behind.

Not 5 minutes later two tall blond boys walk in and one looks directly at me and has the biggest grin across his face.

"Hello how can I help you?"I say returning the grin to the one and only Raymond Reddington.

"Uh...Don you go first." He gestures to the other boy.

"Well hello-" He looks at my name tag, "Elizabeth,"

He orders and Red comes up looking like a dork with the grin on his face.

"Drop the grin will you Red, not to mention you look like an absolute dork," I hissed.

"Well somebody stayed up late last night," He retaliated.

"Anywho....Um...Know what Ress take my car back to the house I'll walk."

Both Don, and I looked at him like he was crazy. He just shrugged his shoulders and tossed his friend the keys. "Oh hey and Ress, no sex, it's a clean car." He warned his friend with a goofy boyish grin on his face.

His friend flipped him off and payed for his ice cream. "That goes for you two too," He pointed at Red and I.

I would have said something back but in the nick of time he managed to already sprint out of the store.

"What was that for, did you miss me?"

"I-I-I"

"All those I's what happened to the annoying, cocky, extroverted Raymond Reddington?" I asked him humor in my voice.

"If you had to know, I wanted to ask you something!" He snapped. "Well I'm waiting," I responded flipping the sign from open to close.

"I wanted to know i-if you wanted to go to the movies on tomorrow with me?" He asked scratching the back of his neck.

You know how people say they get butterflies in their stomach, I get butterflies puking rainbows, but now butterflies are shitting them.

My face breaks out into a smile, but before I say yes I have something to tease him about, "Is this a date Red?" I ask him taking my apron off.

"No!" He shouts, and he must have seen the look of disappointment on my face. "Only if you want it to be," He added shyly.

Not once has anybody seen Raymond Reddington blush this much since 2nd Grade.

"Well, I think I'll agree to this date you asked me on," I say as I trot off to the back.

I returned 5 minutes later to see Red looking in the mirror putting a breath mint in, fixing his hair, and cleaning his teeth of plaque with a sample spoon.

I cleared my throat, "Am I interrupting something?" I asked, chortling.

His face can't get any redder than a scarlet color, or at least I thought but was soon proven wrong.

"I...No." He says regaining composure. "I think I'll leave now." He waves and walked out the door. But I can still see the scarlet color peeking on his ears.

I shut the lights off and grab my bike. My heart tells me to do something very very stupid, and I peddle after him at full speed.
