The ship had sunk.. Just me, in the middle of the ocean. Alone. "Things couldn't get worse" I mumbled as I started paddling nowhere in particular. Just then a drop of rain hit my head, and I noticed that the sky was dark with storm clouds. There are some phrases people should stay away from, I thought. I began to see what I thought was an island. But,upon drawing nearer, I realized I was wrong. It was a huge dark building, sitting atop a rock. A huge rock. I had found a valley of rocks. I was probably teaching some land, but curiosity and weariness won over and all I could think about was the building before the overhead storm sent me crashing to my death among the rocks.
As I drew even closer I realized there was a stairway leading from out of the water to the structure's door. The rain was falling much harder now, the waves were quickly building In strength and height. One sent me and my boat crashing against a smallish rock. I grabbed one of the broken boards In attempt to stay afloat, but it was in vain. Wave rafter wave pushed me under then brought me up, gasping for air and thrashing about.
When I finally made it to the staircase, waves were still pounding down upon the sea, like boulders fall from mountain sides. I crawled up each step clinging tightly to my perch. Each mass of water dared to rip me from my spot, but I sooner or later mad it to the doors. I was soaked to my very bones and soul.
When I opened the doors, I saw that the inside was completely white. It looked like a hospital. The lights overhead flickered, and since the building had no windows it was a bit dark, but not dreadfully so. most lights were very strong even if they were flickering. The door led into a corridor, at the end of which were two other paths and a little reception desk. I walked down the hall on my left. All the metal doors were opened, some knocked down and others still lightly swinging on their hinges.
I looked into the first room. It was covered in some white cushiony stuff. Things were scrawled on the wall that I couldn't make out. I peeped into the seconds room. It looked the same, except for the little woman lying in the corner. She looked about thirty, very pretty, and in a nurses outfit. She had what I took to be blood stains on her uniform. She was crying and shaking. I ran to her and put my hand on her shoulder.she screamed but when she saw me she relaxed. I asked her what was wrong. She said,in a shaky voice lined with the utmost horror and fear, she said:
"The patients have taken over the asylum"
