"BORED!" he screamed as he jumped off the couch and bounded around the room, scratching his head with a gun. John walked up to him without saying a word and took the gun. Sherlock had been having alot slow and boring days. He hasn't much cared for cases, he has taken to solving them by glancing at the case file for less than five minutes and then telling Lestrade who committed the murder, which he has no problem with.

"How about you play your violin." I told him as I tidied up my desk and opened my computer to write for a while.

"I've already done that a million times and I need something to occupy my time, besides that only helps me think." he told me as he picked up the violin and looked it over.

"You could teach me to play." I suggested jokingly. He would never let me near his bloody violin and was always overly protective of it.

"Brilliant idea Watson!" he shouted and picked up his violin to demonstrate things to me.

"Sherlock I was only jokin..." he cut me off with a wave of his hand.

"It doesn't matter. I am going to teach you to play violin and you are going to like it. End of discussion." but it didn't end up being the end of discussion.

Sherlock would show me something and tell me to copy it on the violin. I tried my best but I was never good with instruments, only guns. Sometimes he even had me hold the violin as he would place my fingers places. I never once left. I just listened and tried to copy. It was very hard. Then he showed me sheet music and how to slide between notes. It took months but I finally started to get the hang of it.

It was Christmas and Sherlock and I had both agreed no presents, but I had bought him something that (in case he got me something) I thought he'd like. I walked into the living room and looked at the huge Christmas tree decorated with all the colorful ornaments. Mrs. Hudson was cooking something in the kitchen (which Sherlock had cleaned as a gift) and told me to clean up something because the guests would be here soon.

We had invited Lestrade, Molly, Mycroft and my sister to come to our "Christmas party" but I told Sherlock my sister wouldn't show. Sherlock had told me he could be very persuasive when it came to people and I just nodded. The doorbell rang as I picked up a peice of something from one of Sherlock's experiments.

"Ah, John Lestrade and I came together and bought gifts. Should we set them under the tree?" asked Mycroft as he and Lestrade walked into the flat.

"Yes, that's fine." I told him "Mrs. Hudson is making you two chocolate cakes. One for here and one to take home." at this he perked up considerably and went towards the kitchen.

"Where has Sherlock gotten off to?" Greg asked after his boyfriend went chasing after some cake.

"He said he had some last minute errands to run, but I doubt that's where he went." I said to Lestrade as Mycroft came in with a huge slice of cake and a smile on his face.

The door rang and I went to go let Molly in. When I opened the door she flung her arms around me and hugged me. I couldn't breath but she screamed "Happy Christmas" at the top of her lungs and continued to hug everyone in the flat.

"Is your sister here yet?" she asked as she set her presents under the tree and removed her coat, which I took and hung up.

"No and I told you there was a very slim possibility she was coming." I told her as I went to the kitchen to grab her some champagne and cake (Mrs. Hudson had made a couple extra just in case.)

"Oh, well then where's Sherlock? I brought some notes that he had requested on an experiment." she said.

"Out." said Mycroft as he headed back to the kitchen for more cake.
