The kiss

Dan's P.O.V

I'm waiting for Phil to come out with results. I see the same doctor as last time come to my direction.

He starts saying, "Hello, are you here for Mr. Lester?"

"Yes," I respond quickly.

The doctor checks his papers and responds, "Phil is okay, only that those aches he's having are symptoms of his cancer slowly taking control of more cells in his body."

"But if I give him medications many cancerous cells won't reach his healthy cells thus letting him live longer."

"Alright so can Phil leave tonight?" I ask with worry all over me.

"Yes he should be fine while taking medication."

"Thanks, doctor." I say while the doctor leaves to attend his next patient.

I see Phil walk out a hallway and I hug him tightly, "Hi love I missed you".

Phil kissed my lips while saying, "So did I!" I felt myself blush a rose red. We heard many people yelling "Awww" as we kissed.

We left the place, hand in hand.

Phil's P.O.V

Dan and I are in the car going back home, it's already started raining heavily as if the weather knew my emotions.

Why must this happen to me? I feel so weak, I wouldn't be surprised if Dan decided to leave me anytime soon.

I'm too much of a pain, why would anyone want to stand me?

I feel Dan's heavy stare as if he knows what I'm thinking, but I try and ignore it.

The whole ride home is bloody silence. I wonder what's in Dan's mind... is he annoyed...could it be he's mad?

The silence is broken as Dan shyly asks me, "So...tired today?"

I simply nod my head. "Are...are you mad at me?" He starts asking me worriedly.

I respond reassuringly, "Um...no..no not at all..."

"Is that all you'll say Phil", I think outloud. Dan deserves to know what is happening and I guess now, is the time to tell him.

I rethink what I have to say. Well I guess I'll have to tell him today or someday.

I started off saying, "Well...um Dan I think you need to know the truth...
My cancer isn't anything new. Since I was small...I always felt these pain. I thought they were perfectly normal.
It wasn't until I was ten, until I was diagnosed with cancer... I had won the battle the first time, but now... Now it's too late...
I never wanted to tell you since I was afraid you'd leave me. I'm perfectly fine if you want to leave now.
Why would you want an extra weight on your shoulders..."

Dan's eyes widened at what I said. He pulled over and looks me in the eyes. "Phil, why didn't you tell me this is what bothered you?
I'll never leave you, I've loved you since we first met.
I'll love you until the end of the world. And I'll never leave you. I hope you understand this now.
I'll be at your side until the last moments of your life. I'll be your danousaur and you'll be my..."

"Phillion", I responded joyfully.

This time I lean in close to Dan and close my eyes to give him a sweet kiss in the rain.
