Author's Note: About the Novel

So you think Fox McCloud is the main protagonist of Star Fox? You may be right, but what if I was to tell you that there is another? Fox might have defeated Andross on planet Venom in Star Fox 64, but what happened after that? In the eight years between Star Fox 64 and Adventures, can you honestly believe the enemy was silent and all was well? Maybe in Corneria, and in Lylat, but what if I was to tell you that darkness was lurking somewhere else?

This is Krystal's story. It may be a "Star Fox" title, but Fox and friends are hardly involved. This book will tell how Star Fox began from Krystal's point of view; what happened on her home planet, and how it was destroyed. How everything came to be that led her to Dinosaur Planet, and her fateful encounter with Fox himself. One of the stories that Nintendo has created, but hasn't told us. This... is where I come in.

This is my attempt at telling you this story, based on the facts that we know as a Star Fox community and assumptions I've made based on concrete facts from the games. This book will dive into the lore behind Star Fox Adventures, and tell the story of Cerinia in a way that has never been told before.

Just a few notes by me, the author: I'm really excited to begin this book, but I'm trying to juggle this with many other things right now; my master's degree, school, teaching, work, and other day to day things. I want to warn you all in advance that I won't be able to update this book very often, if at all for a while. I have the prologue mostly written, but chapter updates may be really slow. I'm just so excited about this project that I just have to put it on here, to get you guys informed and hopefully as hyped as I am about telling  this story. As of now, I don't have an official title for the book, but it's "working title" is "Project Cerinia," just like "Eclipse" was called "Phase Two" during the initial drafting process. I won't really be able to come up with a name for it until its first draft is finished at least, just because even I don't know exactly all of where this story will go.

I do not own Star Fox, any of the canon characters (Fox, Falco, Krystal, etc.), or re-occurring elements (Arwing, Great Fox, Aparoids, etc.) I have created several characters for the purpose of this story, including Sera, Krystal's parents, Desmond, etc. This story takes place in year 6 ALW, meaning 6 years after the end of the original Lylat Wars (the events of Star Fox 64).
