An anonymous poet may not know it, but one single line could very well blow it.
They compose their innermost secrets, to cover up their deepest cut, bruise, or weakness.
Sometimes all of the above, will open up inadvertently when push comes to shove.
Of course they do not want to be recognized, so they sneak inconspicuously deep inside.
In themselves they find solace and achieve, what no other poet can possibly believe.
They’ve made a place where only they can come to play, and it’s gets more complicated, day by day.
Their minds are a kingdom of great magnitude, where only counts and jesters have a happy attitude.
Their face shows all emotion, and when they write they radiate sheer devotion.
But as those words hit the poet’s paper, their “clues” are most obvious, so obvious in nature.
A line whose words try to conceal, a terrible secret that’s all too real.
They give away so much unknowingly, that we figure their greatest plight unwillingly.
An anonymous poet may not know it, but one single line could very well blow it.
