Charade

Every day is a

masquerade.

Show them your

false smiles, your

empty blue eyes, your

forced laughter.

What would they

say

if they knew who

you actually were?

What would they

do

if they saw the

pain swimming behind your

perfect mask?

Would they even

care

if you showed them

the sadness gnawing at

the edges of

your soul?

You don’t ask

and don’t tell…

but how long can you

keep up this

charade?

No one can live

forever

inside a masquerade.
