I found the house I was looking for: It was a small and cozy cottage at the edge of Magnolia, surrounded by trees. A small stone path led to it. It was rather private which was nice and the nature around me was nice. The home was a light sky blue with white trim. The inside wasn't exactly spacious, but it was enough for one person, so it was fine for me. The one last thine that drew me was the large, almost spa-like bath. I knew I would use this a lot!

I informed the previous owners and paid them the jewel. I had enough money to buy it right off their hands, no rent. I had plenty left over from my missions with my previous masters. I walked into my new home and lay on the bed, the soft covers rubbing against my skin. I decided to go around, cleaning it up. The brushed the dust away and cleaned up the cobwebs. Once I was done, the place looked now again. I sat down in a chair in the living room, pleased with my work. Tiredness fell over me like a wave and I soon dozed off...

I fluttered my eyes open slowly to see Natsu starring into my face, inches away from me.

"Ookami? You there? Earth to Ookami!!" Natsu whispered. I realized how close he was and backed away, but realized the chair was against my back. I blushed and pushed him back. Did he not even realize!?

"W-what do you want!?" I stuttered, embarrassed.

"Well, we were going to go grab a bite to eat and were wondering if you wanted to come... You know, as a way to welcome you into the guild!" Natsu smiled innocently. "Aye sir!" Happy added.

"Well then, I might as well come with you..." I said, not thinking. Natsu smiled, grabbing my hand and dragging me away.

Me made it to the restaurant, were seated, and were given menus. "I'll get one of everything!" Natsu proclaimed. I chuckled at his childish nature.

"So what are you getting Ookami?" Happy asked, looking up at me.

I though for a moment, "Well... I don't.." I looked away from the two, "I'm not hungry..."

"Spirit stuff?" Natsu asked, almost half intelligently.

"Yeah..." I sighed. An awkward silence fell over us...

"Hey guys! Watcha up to?" I turned to see it was Lucy.

"I was grabbing a bite to eat with Ookami." Natsu responded.

"Oh. Ok then." Lucy sighed, then glared at me, which made me freeze up. What is she mad at me for!? I wondered but nothing came to mind. I brushed it off and spoke, "So Lucy, what brings you here?" I asked, noticing the sun falling behind the trees, out the window.

"Oh nothing, just grabbing a bite to eat..." She said absentmindedly.

"Well, please excuse me..." I said as the waitress appeared. I walked out of the restaurant, heading home.

"Is she okay?" The girl asked, concerned.

"I really don't know..." Natsu said, holding his face up with his hands.

Why did I even come? I know it only would have ended badly. Spirits don't need food, so why follow his lead. What made me stop thinking? I thought back to when I had woken up. I grimaced at the thought of a boy being so close. I looked over at a tree and punched it once, hard, taking my anger out on it. I heard my hand crack a little but I didn't care, it would heal. I sighed, recovering from my sudden wave of anger. I want to make a good impression, that was not how to do it. My tail swished violently as I walked along the empty, dark streets back home...

I woke up in my bed to soft sunlight filtering into my room. I sat up, rubbing my eyes. I looked around my nearly empty room lazily. I should get some new furniture I noted to my self.
