Diana's P.O.V
*beep* *beep* *beep*
I listened to my heart monitor.

"I don't know how it happened," I complained.

"It's not your fault. You went to help her and she simply just disappeared."

"Yeah, but both of them are gone."

The word gone makes me cringe. I feel like it was all my fault.

What if everybody disappears like that and is gone forever?

I sat in the bed and stared at the paramedic. A nurse walks in and the paramedic heads out and the police officer comes in.

"Diana something happened."

"If David escaped I don't want to hear it," I mutter.

"Well I don't know what to call it."

"Let me guess. Some sort of accident happened and he disappeared into thin air."

"That's exactly what happened."

"It's so weird."

"How do you know that happened?"

"I was at the police station and I heard a car crash. It was storming so I looked outside to see what it was. A younger girl came crawling out of the car and I talked to her, but then it's like as if that was her last breath queuing her to fade away. The paramedics rushed in to help , but the other passenger disappeared too."

"A lot of cases of people fading away like that are popping up like it's some sort of disease."

"So it could be anyone next."

She nodded. I looked outside of my window and saw the storm was still raging on. As I looked at the street below 2 cars crashed into each other and the people came crawling out. One by one they faded away.

"Did you see that," I asked turning towards the police officer.

"Yes, yes I did. Strange indeed. I would like to find out what is going on, but I'm sure it's not safe."

All of a sudden an idea clicked into my head. Sure I may be twenty-nine, but it doesn't mean I'm not smart. I'm going to test my theory.

If I murder them maybe whatever makes them disappears is when they die. If it's some life force it must save them before they actually keel over, I thought silently in my head.

"I found an apartment and got a rent paid. So when can I go home?"

The nurse that walked in looked at me.

"You're never going home," she said twitching and smiling.

The police officer stared and I ripped the IV out of my arm.

She stared at me and twitched and I pushed passed her.

"What kind of hospital is this," I scream as more doctors and nurses make their way towards me.

I see a fire extinguisher and I break it out of the glass.

My only weapon for now.

I sprint down the hallway and see the stairs and the elevator. I wasn't taking chances with the elevator. I ran down the stairs and made my way to the front. I watched and all of the do items and nurses just vanished.

"What the hell?"

The police officer comes running out.

"Diana are you okay?"

"I'm fine, it's just the workers just vanished."

"I saw. Oh by the way call me Jenny."

I just sat on the pavement leading into the hospital.

"Who knows what was in that IV," I say poking my wound where the IV was.

"Is this an uprising of the dead?"

"Jenny don't be foolish."

"Diana all of the people in that hospital were dead."

"Time travel?"

"Can't be."
