Ashini's P.O.V
I swam quickly with my wings to school. Waiting outside my locker for Tiadra, I shoved my hair up in a messy bun as my hair looked like a birds nest after an explosion! Tiadra walked into school, her hair looking as luxurious as always. "Hi Tiadra..." I mumbled. "
"Hiyaaaaaaaaaaa!" Tiadra said giddily.
Tiana was always more full of energy, more bouncy, more giddy, more happy, more social than me. Without her I would be lonely, probably bullied, maybe even suicidal. I hate the thought. Tiadra speaks for me most of the time but I think if she didn't have me, she would be...be...be more popular, prettier, just overall better off without me. I don't know why she stays with me but I'm glad she does. I need her to be happy.
"So are you excited for today Ashini?"
"Well, um..."
"That's great! I'm excited for the next class because I'm going to get an A* and..."
I zone out, she can talk like this for ages. I just want to go home. People think they think school is boring. I can't stand it. More than once I've walked out of class, completely randomly, because I couldn't stand another second! What if we just knew everything? What if we didn't have to go to school? A cloud of questions fill my head.
"Ashini! ASHINI!"
"Wha...what?"
Back to reality. Cold, hard reality.
"Come on Ashini! It's time for lessons!"
I manage to struggle through the day and then comes 'Human Studies' right at the end of the day. I zone out completely in this lesson. I know that I shouldn't go near humans so why should I pay attention. Occasionally when I listen I'm pretty sure they're exaggerating. Humans can't be fire devils! Or tree beasts! It changes every once in a while.
After 'Human Studies' Tiadra comes up to me and shouts in my face "We should totally go to the human world! It's just above the sea! We can see if they're lying or not! We should totally go!"
"I, I don't know...what if it's dangerous."
I know that if we got caught we would be severly punished. I hope that this idea brushes over Tiadra's head but what if it doesn't? What if...
