Ok so I had been really worried about my father. But after a few months, everything was still fine and it was nearing the end of the school year. One day, Rain and Feb said they'd be leaving soon, but they'd be back next school year. I was worried though, I wouldn't be able too talk to them or anything, and what if something went wrong? I would never know.
But they were so happy it covered my fear. The next day, a day they were supposed too still be there, they were gone. I thought it was just them leaving early but they never came back too school. I never saw them again. And it was really scary. February had been my best friend. Rain too, but Feb was always there for me. When i was scared she knew it. But it had been a few years and now I was 14, so wasn't my friends. I was actually in a relationship with Percy at this point. But everything was fine and I had nearly forgotten about my dad breaking out, but it stayed in the back of my head.
So one night, I got into bed and went too sleep. I woke up in the middle of the night feeling like something wasn't right.
I got up and looked around. I walked in the living room to only see a man standing in there. I nearly fainted at the sight of who it was.
My father.
I ran in my room and grabbed the phone. Immediately I dialed 911.
"911 what is your emergency?" A male asked. I locked my bed room door and said worriedly into my phone.
"Please help! My father just broke into my foster moms house! I was abused by him and he broke out of prison!! Help!" I said so scared I was crying, but staying quiet. "We are on our way! How old are you, where are you, and what's your name?" He asked worried.
"14, in my room, door locked (insert road name) and Fern." I whispered.
"Ok, stay calm, we are on our way." He said
"Thank you!" I breathed sacredly.
I sat in my bed and waited for the sirens. Sure enough, they soon arrived. It was 3:47 AM. I opened my window and jumped off the roof and ran too them.
"My moms still in there!" I told them and they rushed inside after I unlocked the door with the spare key. They ran in and I went back too the police car with a female officer telling me it would be ok. I wiped some nervous tears from my face. That's when I heard a gunshot. It made me jump. I cried some more. What if the police were too late and that was the sound of Melonys last seconds of life? I was shaking so badly. The officer told me too sit down. She radioed one of the officers inside and looked at me and said, "Your lucky, your father will bother you no more." She told me and I hugged her. She returned it. I looked up to see Melony walking out of the house shaking and obviously full of fear. I ran up too her and hugged her. I couldn't stop the tears. She hugged me back and said , " Its ok, he won't write you anymore." She promised me.

We didn't sleep at all that night. We just waited a few hours and made breakfast, that is after they vacated the body and cleaned the entire floor for us. I went into my room and called Percy. He answered, "Hello?"
"I need too tell you something," I blurted without thought.
"What is it?" He asked, obviously tired and just woke up.
"My dad broke in last night and he tried too kill Melony," I told him. I count see him but I could tell he widened his eyes in shock. "Are you ok? Is Melony ok? Is he arrested again? What happened?"
I waited for a minute too respond. I was still
Terrified and shaken up by what had happened.
"Can I meet you and the others at the library today? It'd be easier that way. I still am so shaken up about it and it'd be nice to talk to someone about it." I told him.
"Ok, I'm sorry I pressured you."
"It's fine, I just didn't expect it." I told him. We set our meet up time, said goodbyes. And texted the others about the meet up. I didn't say anything about the break in, but told them it was important. I told Melony about our meet. She said ok knowing I needed to tell them and dropped me off at noon. I waited under a pavilion and waited for everyone too arrive.
First to show was Percy, who nearly scared the shizznets out of me sense I was so focused on what happened last night, how I would tell them, and my book. After everyone came, I started. "Well, my father broke in last night...."
