Chris P.O.V.

"Chris."

"Mmm."

"Chris."

"No..."

"Wake up!"

"Go away PJ!" I moaned, burying my face in his neck and pulling him closer to me, completely contradicting what I just said.

"I can't if you're cuddling into me like that!"

"Then maybe I don't want you to go away!"

"So you want me to stay?"

"Yeah."

"You're hopeless," he sighed, but shifted so he could put his arm around my waist and I could feel his breath lightly sweeping over my hair.

We weren't a couple, but we weren't exactly friends either. Friends didn't fall asleep together with their legs tangled and arms around each other. Friends didn't hold hands when they were out together. Friends didn't blush when one smiled at the other. Friends didn't hug longer than necessary and whisper 'I missed you' when the last time they saw each other was a mere few days ago. Friends didn't call each other at 4 in the morning and then arrange to meet ten minutes later because they craved for their company. Friends didn't feel their heart race or get butterflies in their stomach when they got ready to see the other. Friends just didn't do that.

But I didn't complain about the bond we had that was somewhere in between a friendship and a relationship, and neither did he. As long as PJ was happy and comfortable, that's all that mattered to me.

The time we spent together felt a lot more precious than usual lately, as PJ had some last minute work to finish before his last university year ended and we didn't see as other as much as I would've liked, but I never said anything about it and just hugged him that little bit tighter when we were together again.

I traced circles on PJ's back, slowly feeling more alert as I came to terms with reality. I wanted to stay here for as long as possible so I kept my eyes shut and didn't say anything, just enjoying how we were postioned. We slotted together perfectly, like we were meant to cross paths and fall in love.

I had to admit it wasn't an instant attraction, from my first impressions he seemed too cocky and annoying to have time for, but when we were thrown together in cliche stuck-in-the-elevator situation and I listened to his stories and his heartbreaks, and we had more similarities than I thought possible, he became the most fascinating person I knew and then from that day, he became all I thought about.

"Peej?"

"Yeah?"

"You know you love me?"

"What do you want?"

"Can you make us tea please?"

"I thought I was supposed to be the guest here."

"You practically live here anyway, now go," I playfully shoved him and he sighed before getting up. I smiled to myself as I heard his footsteps lead to the kitchen, feeling a little smug that I had him wrapped around my finger. He'd do anything I'd ask him to, but it worked the other way too.

I heard him clattering around the kitchen, knowing exactly what he was doing since I had already memorized the sounds that were involved with making tea. The mugs being taken off the shelf and put down on the side, the boiling of the kettle and the click of the switch, teabags being thrown in the mug closely followed by four short bursts of sugar rain, the pouring of the hot water and the ringing of teaspoon against the cermanic, the opening of the fridge, the twisting of the milk lid being taken off then back on again moments later, the closing of the fridge door and another stir, then finally the teabags being dumped in the bin.
