They check your wrists
They check your thighs
When they see nothing
They believe your liesWhat they can't see
Are the scars in your heart
Though they aren't visible
They tear you apartSure, they can't kill you
They aren't real, right?
But those are the deepest scars
Cut late at nightBefore you pick it up
The blade that is your mind
Remember the love
That someday you will findI know the wait hurts
It gets harder every day
But soon you will see
This won't always be the wayI can tell you now
Trust me, I know
Sometime in the future
Your happiness will growYou will look at the scars
And remember why
And notice through everything
You somehow got by

PoetrySo I've never really shared my poetry, but one of my friend said I should. A lot of it is pretty personal to me, so I would appreciate if it didn't get bashed. Thanks guys.
