MERGER PREPARATION

The next morning in Kim Mansion was unusually peaceful.

Sunlight slowly entered Kim Taehyungie's room through the curtains while she slept peacefully for the first time in days. Her hair was spread over the pillow and the blanket was wrapped around her messily.

A soft knock came from the door.

"Princess? Are you awake?" Mrs. Kim asked gently.

Taehyungie slowly opened her eyes and sat up while rubbing them tiredly.

TAE: "Come in..."

Mrs. Kim entered with a small smile and placed a breakfast tray beside her.

MRS. KIM: "You slept without eating dinner yesterday."

TAE: "I was tired."

Mrs. Kim softly brushed Taehyungie's hair away from her forehead.

MRS. KIM: "Your appa dried your hair yesterday before sleeping."

Taehyungie froze slightly.

TAE: "...What?"

MRS. KIM: "He stayed here for almost an hour because you had fever from sleeping with wet hair."

Taehyungie looked away quietly. She did not know how to react. For years she had convinced herself that her family did not care about her.

Seeing her silent, Mrs. Kim smiled sadly.

MRS. KIM: "We made mistakes, baby bear... but we never stopped loving you."

After saying that, she quietly left the room.

Taehyungie sat there silently staring at the untouched breakfast.

For the first time in years... her heart felt heavy.

AT SNU UNIVERSITY

The entire university was exploding with gossip.

Students were crowded around their phones.

"Did you see the pictures from yesterday?"

"President Kim and Song Kang looked INSANE together."

"No, but Jungkook looked so jealous."

"Lisa was literally glaring at Tae the whole time."

Soon another loud scream spread through the hallway.

"OH MY GOD NEW POST!"

Everyone rushed toward the university confession page.
