canalisation
"What the fuck are we supposed to do now?!" I was freaking out. There was so many of them and they started to approach the car, my heart racing in my chest.
"First of all, calm the fuck down. Second of all, we have guns." Louis tried to calm me as he grabbed the gun which was in a strap just as my knife.
"Calm down?! Louis, look at this!" I pointed to the flock of walkers. Louis glared at me, making me shut up.
I grabbed the shotgun from the seat next to me and loaded it.
"Ready?" No, I was not but I nodded anyway; ready or not I had to go through this. However, before we left the car, the walkers started to walk into the opposite direction. With a confused expression, I watched them walk towards the house and that was when I spotted a tall curly haired boy shouting, distracting the walkers. Once we thought that every walker was heading towards the curly haired man, we started getting out of the car.
"Go! Go! Go!" Louis hissed as he and Niall grabbed the boxes and ran towards the house, me following them. A dark skinned boy opened a gate, letting us in but before I could enter the safe garden, I got grabbed by my hair by one of these walkers. I fell onto the floor, my back hitting the ground, causing me to wince in pain.
The walker fell on top of me, his mouth wide open as he tried to bite me. I grabbed it by its head and digged my nails into its head. I felt the flesh between my nails as blood streamed down my fingers onto my face. I heard the boys shouting to shot the walker but nothing happened.
I felt its disgusting breath on my face, making me cringe.
"C'mon, Grace." I encouraged myself and flipped the two of us over. I was straddling the thing and before I knew what was happening, I lifted its head and smashed it against the ground multiple times. I repeated my actions but as soon as I felt the walker's brain splash through my hands, I stopped. I slowly got up, my hands shaking as I looked down at the walker that I just had killed with my bare hands.
I heard someone behind me so I grabbed the knife of the strap and turned around quickly, pushing the knife to its forehead. As I pulled the knife out, I heard the walkers pushing against the fence, blocking the gate to the garden. I swore under my breath and searched for an escape but I couldn't find a safe way into the house.
"Fuck!" I hissed and my eyes wandered to the ground, looking for my weapon but it was gone. It couldn't be that one of these walkers took it, that would be ridiculous. I huffed as I tried to think of a plan then I remembered the car with which we came here. I turned my head but instead of seeing the car, I spotted a face being only a few inches away of mine. Before I could let out a bloody scream, a large hand covered my mouth, damping the sound.
"Shut up and let's go." The curly haired boy from earlier hissed into my ear, taking my hand in his as he ran to opposite direction. In the other hand was my shotgun. It was hard to keep up with him since he ran faster than I did.
"There is another way to the house." He whispered as he made his to the middle of the street. Thank god. I thought to myself as I followed him with a smile on my face. As he stopped infront of a manhole cover, the smile on my face turned into a frown.
"No. No. No. No." I mumbled as he opened it, his face expression turning into a disgusting one.
"It's either this or we fight our way through with one shotgun and two knives." He said as he looked at the strap on my leg. Suddenly, he reached for the knife, pulling it out of its strap.
"It will stink terribly." He informed me as he dropped the knife to the canalisation.
"Oh, reall- Hey! That is mine!" I watched the boy with wide eyes, however, his eyes were fixed to the canalisation. I was about to protest again but then a growling came from down, the boy taking my weapon onto his hands and aimed it to the walkers which were down there. With two shots, it became quiet.
