Once the friends sit by the lonely guy, his shy eyes slowly look up from his phone to the both of them. When his eyes met hers, immediately there were butterflies in her stomach. A small, shy smile crept up to her lips at the sight of him so close. He was more gorgeous up close, and to think, if she didn't have the courage to sit by him, she probably wouldn't have ever known.

"Hi," she bashfully says to the handsome boy.

For the first time in forever, a dashing smile of his came upon his lips, "Hi."

She knew that from then on, she would no longer just have to watch him from a distance. This is her chance to actually be friends with him or even more than just friends. Even though she was so shy to even be near him, she thought that this small action of just trying to cheer someone up by sitting with them, was a big step for her and possibly a big step towards friendship. She thought that it was all worth it because she wouldn't have to be just the girl from afar.
