The puppies were playing in the dorm room with their mom, Paisley, and their dad, Dude. Harley was playing with her twin brother Coal in the small sandbox while Sophia was playing with Copper on the play set. Carlos had gotten them a little play set and sandbox so the puppies could play when no one was around. While the puppies played, Paisley and Dude kept a careful eye on them. Harley was the first to notice something was wrong though. Coal soon stopped playing when he saw his sister looked upset.

"What's wrong, sissy?" he asked.

"I can feel something's weird." Harley answered. Sophia and Copper came over to see what their brother and sister were talking about.

"I feel it too." Sophia chimed in. The boys were confused. Everything seemed normal to them. At least, as normal as yesterday had been seeming that they were only a few days old.

"Feel what? Everything is normal!" Copper said. Sophia and Harley shook their heads.

"Yeah, nothing's wrong." Coal agreed with his brother. Sophia and Harley looked at each other as if to say the boys were stupid.

"What are we gonna do with these stupid boys?" Harley asked her youngest siblings. Copper and Coal glared at them.

"What was that?" Coal asked.

"Nothing." Sophia sassed. Paisley and Dude decided to come over and see what their puppies were talking about.

"What's going on? I heard stupid and boys in the same sentence." Dude said as he looked at his two daughters.

"Harley and I think something's wrong but they don't believe us. Do you feel it?" Sophia asked her mom.

"Yes, I do. How about you, sweetie?" Paisley asked Dude.

"Yeah. I wonder why the boys can't." Dude answered.

"Because they're stupid." Harley stated. Paisley, Dude, Sophia, and Harley laughed while the boys looked offended that their parents didn't defend them.

"Hey!" they barked. The started chasing Sophia and Harley around the room. The girls kept a good space between them and their brothers. At least, until Copper and Coal jumped on them. Paisley and Dude laughed at their pups. This was a fun family moment they would learn to love. What they didn't know, was that the feeling they had was the same one Mal had. The feeling that something was on the rise and it wouldn't go well when it ended.
