What Would I Do Without You

Chapter 1

Alex's POV

*BEEP BEEP*

My alarm clock went off and I woke up. Nothing out of the ordinary. I wash up and put on my clothes. I wear my black shirt with gray hearts and my gray jeans. I brushed my brow hair with a purple streak. I put on dark purple eye shadow and eyeliner and headed downstairs.

"Hello Alex! Did you sleep well?" My stepmother asked as I walked into the kitchen. I ignored her and went to the cabinet. My older brother was sitting at the table eating Cheerios.

"Alex you need to stop ignoring everyone, it's rude and disrespectful!" He said trying to imitate my stepmom. I stuck my tongue out at him and laughed. I looked back in the cabinet and grabbed a poptart bag. 'Strawberry!' I thought to myself 'My favorite'. I opened the bag and sat at the table. I quietly ate my poptart until my stepmother said "Alex! Hurry up your going to be late for school!" I grabbed my backpack, keys, and shoes. I said my goodbyes and walked out the door.

~~~ TIME SKIP~~~

As I approached my bus stop I heard a giggle. Everyone at my bus stop was a guy, I know guys don't giggle. I walked closer with a confused expression on my face. "Uhh hello! Was I not invited to the party?" I asked one of my friends turned around and walked over to me.

"Alex there's another girl!" He whispered. I pushed him out of the way and into the crowd. Once I saw her I understood why everyone was around her. She had blonde hair and was wearing jeans with patches. Her shirt was purple and it had a pink heart on it. She was posing like she was at a photoshoot. I guess she was just another prep, so I didn't bother her. I walked away and waited for my bus.

~~~ TIME SKIP TO SCHOOL~~~

As everyone unloaded the bus and piling into the school the prep girl pulled at my arm. I yanked my hand away and continued walking. She did the same thing in the school building, but I just ignored her again. She did this every time she saw me, it got annoying.... fast. Then I finally answered her. "What do you want? You've been pulling at my arm all day!" I snapped.

She looked at the floor and mumbled "I'm sorry I just wanted to get to know you. I didn't mean to make you upset"

"Why didn't you just talk to me?" I asked as she looked back up.

She looked at me and smiled "I didn't think such a popular girl like you would want to talk to me!"

I rolled my eyes and grabbed her hand " C'mon I'll walk you home, we can talk then." I looked back and saw her beginning to smile again.

'This is going to be a long year' I thought to myself as we walked down the hill.
