Tuesday. Another morning. Another day.
Me and my family are going out to eat. I'm so excited because we are going to the place Lindsey works at.
We pull up into the parking lot and we are seated.
"Your server will be Lindsey and she will be with you in a moment" said the woman that seated us.
Lindsey came up to our table, it had looked like she had been crying. Her makeup was blotchy most likely from a tissue. After she takes our order I pulled her to the side.
My heart was racing, my voice was shaky.
"Are you okay Lindsey?" I asked her
She nodded.
"Heres my number if you want to talk to me." I said in a gratifying voice while scribbling my number on a napkin she had on her platter.Hours passed. 7 o'clock. 8 o'clock 9 o'clock. 10 o'clock. I waited for a text. I heard the chime of my phone. My heart was beating fast as I opened the text message from Lindsey.
It read. "Hey, this is Lindsey. Thank you for being there for me today. Me and Chaz were having problem and we finally broke up."
"I'm always here for you Lindsey and I hope we can become friends like we were back in freshman year. Its hard to believe that we are going to be seniors after this year." I replied.
