You know that feeling when you are asleep but you know you're not in your bed. You don't feel the warmth that you usually do and you're confused.
Well Niall was feeling that right now.
Niall eyes shot open as he sat up quickly. He looked around seeing a bunch of other people his age either passed out or sitting up confused like him. He looked down and saw that he was in the clothes he wore when he was last conscious. He was sitting on a cot just like the other people were.
"Where the hell am I?" one of the other people in the room asked standing up nod walking around. He was pretty short, blue eyes, and caramel messy hair.
"Just sit down we're all confused" another guy grumbled from where he sat on his bed with his back on the wall. This guy had really short died white hair, a ton of tattoos, darker eyes, and a sharp jaw line
He was gorgeous that's for sure.
But that's not the point, the point was that there were at least twenty of them in here. Almost all woken up by now except for one really petite girl in the corner.
"I can't just sit down, we're trapped in here. I don't even know where here is" the guy said pacing around the walls looking for a door.
"There's not a door I already looked" someone mumbled making everyone turn their heads to see a quiet boy with dyed blonde hair who was cowered on the back of his bed with his knees to his chest.
"How long have you been awake?" the guy asked starting to walk towards the scared boy
"I was the first one up" the boy whispered "I checked everything, trust me there's no way out"
"Are we just supposed to believe you, I have no idea who you are"
"I'm Michael and I'm in the same scenario as you" the boy said quietly
"I'm Zayn and I think you should just sit down and wait" the gorgeous boy from earlier said
"I'm Louis" the boy said finally sitting on the edge of the cot
"I'm Luke" another tall lanky blonde said from next to Michael
"Who are you? You look familiar?" Louis said looking at Niall. Niall looked around before noticing that Louis was talking to him and then pointed to himself
"Me?" he asked
"Yeah you" Louis nodded
"I'm Niall"
"You're Irish" Luke pointed out
"Yeah, and you're Australian" Niall pointed out
"Good observation kiddos, now how did we all get here?" Louis said sarcastically
"Where am I?" the petite girl in the corner sat up her bed
"That's a good question wish we had the answer" Luke said sitting criss cross on the bed
"Who are you?" the girl asked scared moving closer to the corner
"We already did introductions, you missed out" Louis scoffed. Michael moved over to the girl talking to her quietly making her slowly calm down and nod at whatever he was saying. Once she was calm Michael moved back to his cot and kept an eye on her"
"What's your name?" Niall asked the new girl
"Um Melanie" the girl said quietly
"I like your hair Melanie" Michael smiled at her. He was right though, her hair was great. She had half black hair and the other half was blueish green.
"Thank you" she said quietly smiling
"So does anyone remember anything?" Louis asked the group after a moment of silence
"No" Luke shook his head
"Attention initiates" a computer voice rang through the room making everyone jump
"Initiates?" Louis asked looking at the ceiling where the voice came from.
"You have been chosen for this assignment by the best in the business, before you can know anything you have to go through a test. This test is for you to work as a team, there are five rules that are the instructions for the test as well."
"What does that mean?" Luke asked Michael who shrugged
"Rule one, pick a captain. Rule two the captain must pick a co-captain who will stay with him for the test while other do other jobs. Rule three is to make your captain grab the box that will soon be distributed but he/she can't open it. Rule four someone smart must open the box, and follow instructions in the box. The fifth and final rule is work as a team, if anyone is left out you will all lose. Good luck you'll need it"
"Oh well that helps" Luke rolled his eyes
"Ok who's captain?" Niall asked looking around the room
"Louis, he's the loudest and best leader" Michael spoke up
"I'll be co-captain" Zayn nominated himself
"Who's the smartest?" Louis asked. Everyone in the room was silent "Now is not the time for modesty, who's the smartest?"
Everyone looked around some knowing they were more physical than mental. Everyone looked around before Melanie slowly started to raise her hand.
"Good, come over here" Louis ordered waving her over.
"Everyone else go to one cot and stay close" Zayn ordered. Everyone did as told going to Luke's cot because it was relatively in the middle while Louis, Zayn, and Melanie walked to the door.
A little trap door at the bottom of the door opened and a shoe box sized box slide through. Louis quickly got down looking through the slot seeing a foot before it quickly shut.
"It was a girl's foot" Louis said aloud
"Why does that matter?" Luke asked from the group
"Just making observations" Louis said standing back up while Melanie grabbed the box. She brought it over to the cot next to the group and set it down. There was a big red button in the middle of box, she pressed it making lid open but another cover not being able to see in the box still. One the inside of the lid was a computer with a bunch of numbers that didn't even make sense.
"It's coding, I'm smart but I'm not computer smart" Melanie said looking at Louis
"Ok, any hackers or decoders?" Louis asked looking around and Michael raised his hand.
"Michael come here" Zayn said and Michael walked over while Melanie walked back. Michael sat down on his knees getting level with the box as he started taping on the screen.
After about five minutes the second cover moved out of the way covering the screen and letting them see in the box. There was a piece of paper that was folded, and another paper that wasn't folded so they could see the words.
The youngest must open the paper
"Ok, let's go around and say ages" Zayn said pointing to the first person. They found out that Luke was the youngest at age 18, and the oldest was Louis who's 23. Luke grabbed the paper unfolding it and opening the paper.
Good Job
Once Luke read it aloud the door where the box came out of opened and three people, two boys and a girl, stepped into the room. The girl was in the front with the two boys behind her even if the boys towered over her. They were all dressed in head to toe black, even their black combat boots. The two guys had long sleeves and the girl had a tank top on. The girl looked at all the people who were huddling onto one bed and smirked.
"Hey newbies, Welcome to the Spy Program"
