"Hey..." someone called me.
I looked my right and replied back " Hi.." with a smile.
Why wouldn't it be with smile, she was girl and every bad or baddest guy want to be nice with girls.
"Remembered me???" She asked.
"Ummmmmm no" I said in simple clear words.
" That's disappointing for me." She replied back.
I Looked over her again, scanned her, re-scanned her, but got nothing.
I didn't give much on it and being late night, I started walking.
She did the same by me.
"I think it's late and I must go home, and so do you" I said with a smile, continuing with the walk.
She just smiled back.
"You really didn't remember??" She said again.
"Ya I didn't" I said in loud,I was feared as I had heard about few unhealthy girls around city.
"Chiku" hope u remembered that, she said.
"How do you know that name?" I asked to my extent shock.
Chiku was my nickname which was called out during my childhood days to tease me.
I had shifted from my native land to here when I was quite young and thus had left my friends behind too, along with the name, so nobody here in town knew my childhood nickname.
She smiled and said " do you remember once I told you, you can't run away form that name".
"Sorry I don't remember anything"
"Ya how will you, time had passed a lot" she replied back with innocent smile, which was damn cute.
"Hi.. I'm Riya, your childhood friend, whom you don't remember anymore."she continued with smile.
"Hie" I said, and we continued walking.
"Sorry for not remembering anything" I continued.
"Yes, time had passed by here, and thus things had changed too" she said.
Our walking was like scrolling, and thus it was consuming a lot time.
So, i increased my walking speed, but she still walked slow and i too slowed down.
"It's about 12 to 13 years passed, i left the village and you still remember me, how come that be possible?" I asked, excited to know how much she have about our past days.
"It's exactly 13 years" she said and continued.
"You know chiku, here's a lot in this world, people meet, they forget, but someone who aren't able to spend good time with their loved ones are them who really remember everything".
I was listening it without a blink, that was really a great though she had within herself, and down my heart and up on mind i started respecting her, from then and that moment.
"And how come you're here?" I forwarded another question.
"You ask a lot questions, I'm not really here for work or for a timeout. It's just that something made me here."
Oh... sorry for asking a lot I said apologizing.
"So something you wanna know about me?"
"Ya had a lot to ask, have met you after a lot time and don't know when will I be back." She said, and continued with a smile
"But, first you better learn to say no, it's good some time "The talk between us, was getting excited and antsy.
We talked from our past, to present - how's things have changed, how people have changed, how we were enjoying our life, girlfriends boyfriends, just friends, thoughts about love, and finally entered the future to marriage, children, death, and even ghost and then the rebirth.
The talking was though nonsense a lot, but was sweet and enjoyable, like never to be forgotten. First meeting after a long time, and that too was just awesome. We were still walking.
I was completely lost in our talks.
I even didn't realised the tickling time.
I checked my watch it was10:45 pm.
She was busy telling me something about her theories she had learned with the professor she was working with.
I didn't gave much ear to what she was saying, though since in the beginning I was completely in it.
Somehow I had managed to look away from her talks and realised it was still 10:45pm after 5minutes.
I recheck my watch it was 10:45pm again.
Stopping her in middle of her story, I asked at once "hey, whats the time??"
She looked at me shockingly and looked towards her watch, she wore an old watch, but it looked expensive, maybe it was gifted by her mother, and to her mother by her grandmother.
"It's 10:45pm" she said.
I smile and looked away, while she continued with her story.
I might had gone too suspicious or it was beer that made me feel that time had also stopped, along with me on air .
She spoke so sweetly, I again got mesmerized and continued listening her.
She looked cute each time she expressed her excitedness and the way she narrated her stories, were just awesome.
I was completely lost.
"Waaaake me up when it's too late....." rang my phone.
Sorry I said to her, and got my phone out.
It was Devesh's call.
I rejected the call.
"Waaaake me up when it's too late....." again rang my phone.
Why don't you get up that phone she said.
Talking excuse, I walked little side ways to receive the call.
Usually our conversation used to start up with slangs and ends with talk later.
Knowing the first word over the phone won't be hello and the reply to it won't be hello, I chose to walk away to have the regular talk.
We stopped walking, and I got on the phone.
I talked over phone for 5minutes.
The talk seemed more than 5minutes.
I wasn't sure what conversation took place.
It seemed like a joke.
It felt like prank.
It wasn't easy to believe.
I wasn't sure.
The conversation over the phone caused me a great shock.
My body started trembling.
I turned around, to my shock she was starting just in front of me.
She might had heard all of the conversation.
Within no second, she pulled my hand over, got hold it tight.
It went so fast that I didn't got the time to realise what was going on.
"Bie... chiku" those were the last word I heard before everything got blurred out.
