My feet move erratically every move I take gets more random. I feel light and fuzzy, just walking into pits and puddles. The sirens echo from miles away crying for its victims. They won't catch me the government will find someone else to blame for the lifeless bodies they see at the bottom of the old glass building.

"Sirens run!" someone yells "Great last thing I want to do is get in jail again." Cis says frowning . People scramble to get down from the dome building first, all forgetting it's glass. "Slow down!" someone yells "Shut up grandma!" I roll my eyes and tug Cis' arm "Let's go." I say. We weave through the mob of anxious peers racing to get down from the immense dome.

"How are we suppose to get down?" I ask "The way we got up." She says annunciating how dumb my question had sounded. "The ladder is gone and the elevator is stuck... it's overloaded." Rian says. clearly irritated. He scratches his crown then stomps on the building with full force.

"Stop!" He looks at me then down my plea is now transparent. We're standing on glass. I look into the distance searching for anything.

Then I see it. A car driving full speed maybe someone had seen that were stranded and has come to help. The car starts glowing a luminous color of scarlet red glowing over its black body. "The police! I told you I'm not going back."

I look up helpless weighing our situation. Rian stares down through the clear looking at the hustle below. He looks back up at me with fierce determination not his face he stomps over to the middle of the dome and thrust his feet onto the ground and the glass cries back with a mighty echo, he plunges his feet again to the glass.

I cover my ears and squint my eyes downwards the glass is breaking the Crack begins to stretch out like tree branches further and further I gasp and my eyes grow wide

"Rian please stop!" He looks back at me with a crushed soul. He closes his eyes as he takes one more leap into the air ,as he collide into the glass, it gives way.

Screams erupt as the lethal crystal crumbles taking the people with it. I run to the edge and my speed swiftly picks up because the glasses branches grow wider and are chasing me. I get closer to the edge and that's when I remember why had left from there in the first place.

"Cis! Where are you." I scream. A terrible shriek responds to my cry. I look in the direction of the noise "Cis, can you hear me!"

"Help me!" I feel a cool brush of wind over me and shiver down my back. It's her voice. Her hand holding on to the metal pole that managed to stay. "Hold on Cis please, don't let go!" I begin to run then access our situation I begin too gently glide over the glass.

As I get closer I can see her now her hair is roughly scattered all over her face and a single tear of blood falls down her chin to her shirt. "Cis?" I say afraid to see the damage that's been done, her body dangling like a rag doll ,from the story books I use to read.

"Don't move we'll  get out of here and we'll see a doctor and get you fixed up ok?" She looks up at me and
nods. Looking at her face I see the damage a sharp piece of glass had cut her face open with blood ozzing out a piece of glass sticks to her skin and a piece looks like it had been drilled into her.

The image make me stomach turn a little and I have to look away. I get on my knees and look at the opening in the roof the elevator is there jammed I can here people screaming for help. I look to my left and there I see the bodies now scattered at the bottom of this lifeless pit looking closer Rians' red jacket sticks out and his body stretched out in weird angles.

A tear pricks my eye I just want to crawl into a corner and cry but none of that will help me now or benefit Cis. I look down at her and she looks up at me her green eyes are shiny with tears "The police."she says "They will not catch up with you Cis I promise." She manages to nod a little but I can tell she is in serious pain.

"Ok just grab my hand and you'll be up in no time. Promise." I say she looks up at me with that same look I got from Rian. My heart skips a beat as I grab her arm "Cis don't you dare let go!" She shakes her head and I can see that crown of defeat. Cis is not a looser she's a fighter. "Cis don't do this to me." Her face look tired like she hasn't slept in a million years.

All the sudden I can hear sirens screaming the police are getting closer. The tears are pricking my eyes again and I feel one escape. "You're not going to die. I'm not going to let you! Just pull my arm and we'll be out of here before they catch up with us" She squeezes my arm and gives me another painful nod.

She opens her mouth and utters two solemn word before her eyes roll back and her fingers begin to slip between my grasp. I shriek from the top of my lungs as I watch my best friend begin to fall to the ground like a delicate drop of rain.

Her body crashes into the pile of the deceased. And a jagged pain grips my heart.

The siren are clear now and I know they are here. There job will be useless when they open the broad door and see nothing but death .

I close my eyes and struggle to get up. I run to the edge and grab the ladder that would have saved us from this situation and climb down.

As my feet touch the ground I sigh. A branch from behind me snaps and somebody from behind yells "Freeze!" I do, just for a second but then remember what Cis would have done.

I bounce on my toes as I sprint into the wilderness. "Hey I said freeze!" I hear him fire in my direct I need and run faster than I ever have.

His footsteps grow louder behind me and he fires again. My heart begins to beat louder as I hear him pull the trigger. That's when I feel it brush my shoulder and I gasp, but I can't stop I can never stop, and I will not.

I have to figure out why Cis had chosen death over two grave words why did she trust me with the,

North Star.
