I reach the apartments and I take in its view the windows are caked with a mysterious black, the building is now grey and water stained.

The outside walls now slowly crumbling to pieces. As wind picks at the tips of the cement, and chip it away; my life begins to flash through my eyes. It's so gray and dark no light at all, sometimes I look at the sky and think I see a small gold light with a rim of yellow peaking through the sky.

Whenever I told Cis this she would laugh and call me crazy for hallucinating this. There has never been a colorful shade in the sky, ever.

But deep down I knew she knew something I could see it in her eyes I could see a glisten of hope, longing, anguish, and bitterness but I never got the meaning. Maybe it was just Cis sulking over her past 'sins' and wishing for the things she could have done differently. Wouldn't I have, after being through so many terrible things.

I reach the escape ladder and climb up. People stare at me as if I'm crazy this building is so old that this ladder could give way any minute I hear it crying from the pressure im putting on it.The sound gets louder and I walk faster trying to get to floor twenty six that's completely empty from the mold growing there but most people use to tell me it is just haunted.

My head is pounding with every step I take. I can feel warm blood trickling down my arm. I'm so afraid to see the damage.

Reaching the window I climb in taking one more big gulp of air. My feet land on the squishy ground and I try not to gag when I look around.

Spider webs hang from the ceiling to the furniture the air is a meduim tint of grey because of the pounds of dust being acumilated for years. The metal bars and furniture are now a deep red of rust. And bugs scram to there haven, making way for me on the floor.

My chest begins to itch and my lungs begin to ache because of my lack of oxygen. I need to get out quick the mold in the room could already be effecting me.

I run farther into the room kicking at the doors and walls that are now rotting wood. Until I make it to the hallway. I feel light headed and dizziness overwhelms me from my lack of oxygen. Then I see it the old rusted cables and metal bars of the abandoned elevator.

When I reach the entrance I look down and see the sunken darkness I cringe at the thought falling and shake it away. I press the old command buttons and the screen of the controls wakes up from its long slumbering sleep.

"Which floor do you proceed?" It asks
"Eighty-nine."I say
"Please be patient as the elevator comes to assist you." It warns. The elevator makes a weird wrasping sound as it rises to the forgotten grounds of hall twenty-six.
