~~~Kelly's POV~~~
I was pretty much shivering by the time we pulled in front of my apartment building. He cut the engine and we both climbed off the bike. Norman jogged ahead of me and opened the door.
"After you, ma'm" He said with a minuscule bow.
"Thank you sir" I sang, skipping through the doorway.
Nice Norman seemed to be back, so maybe I'd imagined it.
"What floor are you on?" Norman said curiously.
"Floor five- Jimmy's favorite number"
Mybe I'd imagined it again, but I swear I saw him stiffen at the mention of Jimmy's name. Speaking of.....
"I'm sorry he was so rude. Hes not usually like that, he was just being over protective"
"Its no problem, its really none of my business" He murmured.
I pulled a look of mock horror. "Are you saying we're not besties? Because besties are allllllways up in each others biz-ness" I said with a funky voice hoping to make him more at ease.
Norman looked at me for a moment before he burst out laughing. We shared a moment before our laughter dissolved and faded away.
He nudged my arm lightly. "I like you. You're just too adorable"
My cheeks warmed and I looked down but was spared from responding by my phone. Having turned it up all the way after talking to Jimmy. I blushed deeper as Motorhead's 'Ace of Spades' blared through my phones speakers obnoxiously, indicating it was Ashley returning my call. I couldnt decide if it was good timing or awful timing on her part.
Fumbling to answer it quickly, I almost ended up dropping it, so I was relieved when I hit answer call correctly.
"Sorry, it'll just be a sec" I apologized to Norman. I knew answering was rude, but I had called her first.
"Hello?" I spoke into the phone. I knew she would never speak first.
"Hey, whats up?"
"Um actually I'll have to call you back later, kay hon?"
"Alright...bye?" Her confusion was evident.
"Bye" I clicked 'end call' and slid my phone back into my pocket.
"Sorry 'bout that. They were returning my call"
He chuckled. "No problem. Although I did think for a second there I was about to be enlightened in the world of girls"
I laughed at his response. "Who said I was talking to another girl?"
"Ohhh puh-lease"
"Uh huh, what made it so obvious that I was talking to a girl?"
"Ehhhh I guessed. I told ya I was hoping to be enlightened, it hasn't happened yet" He stated simply with a smile.
"Well duh silly. Us girls must keep the inner workings of our mind and world secret"
"Ahh I see"
"Its not like guys dont do that either" I said teasingly, sticking my tongue out at him.
"We do not." He protested.
"Do too"
"Nope"
"Yeah huh"
"Whatever you say, love"
"Ok how 'bout this: I'll enlighten you on the world of girls if you enlighten me on the world of guys"
