Alex sat alone in the trailer after something had almost beat him to death and watch for night to fall. He started to hear footsteps just out side the door and sank back in to the far corner thinking that if he did the thing wouldn't see him. A small line of light brightened up the room. A young man, younger then Alex, walked in. He wore a blue and white hat with brown hair. But his hair and hat didn't catch Alex's eye first it was his sea foam green eyes. They looked into each others eyes and the brown hair boy turned around and started yelling for someone. Another man came up beside him his eyes reminded Alex of a trees leafs, light green. He couldn't believe he missed trees so much.
The little one spoke first. "My name is Ellis. This is my boyfriend Nick. You look lost do you want to come with us? What's your name by the way?" He asked.
"My name is Alex and I would love to come with you. It would be nice to get away from this hell hole." Alex said. Nick put out a hand and Alex took it. His hand was warm in Alex's and it felt good to be around other people. being trapped for so long can take a tole on you. His clothes were more like torn rags the anything else and he was a bloody mess.
Ellis looked at Alex with big eyes. He couldn't be that beaten and not have been bitten. Just look at him he's covered in blood and looks like something a gator tried to eat. He had emerald green eyes, so rich you could see your self in them. He had hair almost as brown as Ellis's was. Best yet he was a year or two older then him. Unlike Nick who was 12 years older then him. Ellis was 23 while Nick was 35. Alex look no more then 24 or 25 years old. Come to think of it why was he out here by himself without a gun or something.
"Hey Alex? Why don't you have a gun or anything like that on ya?" Ellis asked.
"Yeah why don't ya?" Nick added in.
"I got attacked and dropped my gun. This big thing came running at me and I didn't have time to react and I dropped my gun. I ran for that house I was in but that thing was faster then me and got a hold of me." Alex explained.
"Hey that house up there might have a gun or an ax in it if you want to get one." Ellis said.
"Um...Yeah sure let's go up there." Alex said.
Nick was walking beside Ellis and decided to grab Ellis's hat. He pulled it off his head and yelled out to Alex.
"Here keep it away from Ellis!" Nick yelled.
"Hey that's not funny give it back." Ellis shouted. He ran after Alex and tackled him.
"Nick take it." He laughed. Nick ran up and grabbed the hat and ran up the stairs. Ellis started to hear a Charger. The Charger came out of the door beside Nick and charged at Nick.
"NICK!" Ellis screamed, but it was to late the Charger had him it's giant hand. It was pounding him into the ground and Ellis pulled out his gun and shot it off of him. Alex helped him to his feet and took Ellis's hat back. Ellis tackled him again and pressed his lips to the other boys mouth. He grabbed his hat and pulled it out of his hand and they parted. Alex's hand went up to cover his mouth and he blushed.
"Ellis what did you do that for?" He asked.
"You took my hat it was the only way for you to let go of it." Ellis laughed.
"But did you have to kiss me?" Alex asked.
"It always worked for Nick so I throught it would work for you." Ellis's sea foam green eyes had a sad look to them. He sat on the ground with his hat in hand and looked at the ground.
"Nick, is he okay?" Alex asked. Nick walked up to Ellis, sat down next to him and patted his shoulder. He whispered in his ear, "We should be going." They both stood up and Ellis put his hat back on his head without looking at Alex. Alex looked at Nick but Nick too wouldn't look at him. He sighed and looked down at his feet. He just stood there to see if they'd notice he wasn't following. Ellis turned around and his sea foam green eyes went wide. They looked in to Alex's emerald green ones and he screamed out, "HUNTER!" He pulled out his shot gun and started shooting behind Alex. Alex hear the Hunter die and then a splash in the water behind him. Alex ran to catch up to Nick and Ellis. He didn't want to be left behind no matter what it took to keep up with the others.
"Don't pull anything like that again dumb ass." Ellis hissed.
"I'm sorry. Are you still going to get me a gun or something to use for me?" Alex asked.
"Yeah in a minute." Nick replied. They grabbed Alex a gun and a baseball bat and throw them at him.
"The safe house is just up ahead. Coach and Ro should be there by now." Nick explained. Ellis stood between the two boys and took Nick's hand in his own. He reached over and took Alex's hand it his free hand. Alex blushed and his emerald green eyes lightened up. Light grenn eyes locked on Alex then. He also smiled and gave Ellis a kiss on the cheek. Ellis blushed and they walked into the saferoom.
