If any of this seems cheesy it's because I wrote the first six chapters two years ago. I've gotten better, I swear!

Sweet, innocent me. Once so gullible and tamed. Not anymore. I break the rules, go out late and have no parents to tell me what I'm doing is wrong. It's not that my parents died, no they just left me when I was young. My childhood was never that great. My parents cared more about drugs than they did me.
"C'mon Ava, we have to we have to get out of here," One of my closest friends, Alycia, snaps me out of my thinking. We had just stolen a massive amount of stuff from a drugstore and pretty soon the police would most likely show up. I grip my heavy jacket full of stuff and book it down the alley with Alycia by my side.
"Where's Mia?" I question as we near the end of the alley.
"She didn't to get into any trouble tonight, plus she's visiting some old friend," Alycia replies as she stops to catch her breath. I roll my eyes and lean up against someone's fence. Mia and Alycia were always there for me, along with my best friend Desirae. All three of them make me feel like a hobo in the looks department. I mean I'm not horrible looking or anything, but if we were to walk into a room, every guys eyes would be on them.
"Hide!" Alycia lunges towards me and pushes me to the ground. "The police," She gestures before putting her finger to her mouth, telling me to stay quiet. I lift up my eyes and sure enough, the police are starting to surround the alley.
"We won't be able to get out of here," I whisper. Alycia seems to be in deep thought.
"We have to split up. I'll make a distraction while you jump the fence and run. I'll meet you at the old park about two blocks from here, okay?" Alycia tells me her plan and I just nod my head in agreement. Without any warning she jumps up from the ground and runs to the middle of the alley. She calls to cops and exposes her jacket full of goods. The police soon start to surround her and she looks back to wink at me.
Taking that as my signal to leave, I jump up and struggle over the fence. For Alycia and I this is a regular Friday afternoon. Usually Mia or Desirae would join us, but they were both busy today. I run through someone's backyard and it turns me into the street. I stop running, trying to look as casual as possible. I'm halfway up the street when I hear a car get closer behind me. I turn my head a spot a police car coming up behind me.
Stay normal, I repeat to myself, praying it would pass me by. As it gets closer, I glance at it and the driver doesn't even notice me. What catches my eye is the familiar face in the back seat. Alycia? As the car passes by me she gives me a thumbs up with a smile displayed on her lips.
Great, now I have no one to hang out with tonight. I'm not even worried about Alycia being taken in. We have both been taken in so many time they remember our names. We've never actually been put in jail though, they just take us in, tell us not to do it again and send us out. I keep walking down the street, looking around for something interesting to do. A small club catches my eye and I turn down a nearby alley and head towards it. "Miss, stop right there," A strong voice calls out to me and I drop my coat along with everything I had stolen. I run down the alley, hard footsteps can be heard behind me. I stay strong, turning into someone's yard and hide in a dark corner. The now visible police officer searches the area for me.
I sneak around front and sneakily head back towards the club again. Instead of walking like most people, I thought it'd be smart to run. My wavy brown hair whipped my back as the wind blew. The club comes insight and I slow my pace. A loud bang is heard and my head snaps around to look behind me. My feet keep moving and soon I hit a hard surface.
My sight goes ahead of me and my eyes meet with another pair of brown ones. "Sorry," I muffled out before hearing feet behind me. My vision goes behind me again and I see the same policeman searching the alley for me. Before I know what I'm doing, I grab the guy I ran into and swing us around so that my back is against the hard wall of the club. He stands in front of me looking shocked. I pull him close so his chest is pressed against mine, causing his eyes to widen even more. "Please pretend you know me," My voice came out as a whisper and he gives me a confused look.
I look around him to see the officer looking at us suspiciously. I put on a smile and wrap my arms around the guy's neck and bring him in for a kiss. Thankfully he put his hands down at my waist and kisses me back. I look behind him, the police officer seems to have lost interest and walks the other way.
As soon as he's gone, I push the stranger away from me and awkwardly look at him. "Uh...I'm Liam," He introduces himself. I follow his lead and tell him my name.
"Thank you for playing along, now if you'd excuse me, I'm going to have a drink." I turn to walk into the club, but Liam's question makes me face him again.
"Can I join you?"
"Yeah, but didn't you just come out of there?"
"Well, yes. But I didn't really get to enjoy it. I had to exit because of some insane fans....Oh, sorry for smacking you with the door."
"Fans?" I question him. Liam just smiles and nods. "Um..okay?" I mumble. He opens the door and motions me to go inside.
"Ladies first!" Liam says with a smile. I nod then enter the club, Liam following closely behind me.
