Introduction
I stared at a sign near the pool that had writing on it in big bold letters. I rolled my eyes and started toward the pool. I reached it and looked down at the adults swimming around peacefully. I grinned and took a few steps back. I ran at full speed and jumped in. "HEADS UP!" I shouted.
The adults rushed to both sides of the pool.
I swam to the end of the pool. And leaned back, enjoying the sound of some people shouting at me from the other end.
"Didn't you read the sign when you came in?" a female voice asked from behind, startling me. I chuckled then turned and came face to feet to Jennifer, the one who's supposedly the most prettiest girl in our grade. I looked up at her.
"Yeah, I think it said no jumping in the pool?" I finally responded.
She nodded.
"That's why I did," I simply replied.
She giggled.
I then realized her mother was the owner of the place.
"I never really noticed you at school, but now I remember you in the halls," she told me.
"I guess I've changed a bit this year."
"I noticed you're a bad boy."
I smirked.
"Yeah, which means I don't talk to good girls like you."
She shook her head.
"Oh, I'm nothing close to good," She said then gave me a flirty smile.
I nodded. "I'll keep that in mind." I got out of the pool and headed for the change room.
Once I change, I went home.
I opened the door to my house and started up the stairs to my room.
"Stop!" My mom shouted.
I turned to see her sitting on the couch in the living room, face completely red.
I sighed and went back down.
"..Yeah?"
She pursed her lips and raised an eyebrow.
"Where were you exactly?" She asked.
"The fitness place owned by the Jones family, why?"
I asked as if I didn't know.
"Well maybe it's because you never tell me where you go! What is wrong with you!?"
She shouted.
I would of thought she'd get used to it by now since it was not the first time.
"Nothing! I think I'm old enough to go out without telling you where and when."
She closed her eyes and shook her head.
"That's not the point, you never know what can happen if I don't know where you are..and I'm not willing to risk loosing you."
I rolled my eyes getting ready for the 'I'm worried about you' speech.
"Every time I ask you how your grades are, all I get from you is 'okay' or 'nothing special' and I'm your mother, I should know if you're having problems with something. You're a Junior in High School, it's your 2nd last year of school until University, you have to work harder-I'm worried about you."
I groaned. "Oh mom! seriously? like I haven't heard this before. Just leave me alone!"
I jogged up stairs.
Sometimes the woman drived me crazy.
